La Costa Brava
La Costa Brava
Uncover the beauty of the Girona coast, named 100 years ago as the Costa Brava, and escape the hustle and bustle of Barcelona. The name is due to its unique rocky, rugged, and cut shaped coastline, composed of small coves surrounded by pine forests and lapped by crystal water. Historically, the area was a point of entry, transit, and settlement for different cultures and civilizations.
Your journey begins while you discover the southern part of the Costa Brava visiting two villages that represent the essence of that coast. They are entirely different but complement each other perfectly. On this hour and fifteen-minute adventure, you will take the motorway to Lloret de Mar, considered the main touristic village of Costa Brava.
Upon arrival, you will experience the hustle and bustle of the city along with beautiful beaches, shops, and everlasting nightlife. You will explore this beautiful place along with its unique beach promenade for approximately an hour. Take in the beauty of this extraordinary place, walk through its narrow streets, shop its quaint boutiques, and reminisce its maritime past.
At approximately 10:50 AM hop aboard the boat--Dofijets--which will take you to the neighboring village of Tossa de Mar. During the sailing trip, enjoy the unique landscape of Costa Brava: a display of different massive cliffs shaped in fanciful forms over the centuries by the strength of sea and wind.
Upon arrival to the "Pearl of Costa Brava," prepare to be amazed by the spectacular landscape; from its shores, beaches, and caves in cliffs to its lush vegetation. Tossa de Mar is considered one of the places that best preserved its natural environment. Then, walk to the beach and up to the lighthouse. From there, take in the stunning views of the coastline, and from there, walk through the narrow streets and stone houses of Vila Vella. From there, you will have the opportunity to spend free time to enjoy a nice meal.
As your tour ends, make sure you have taken in all the beauty the Costa Brava and surroundings can offer. Rest assured that you will take with you one of the most striking images of one of the most sought out places, the Costa Brava. Please be aware that the tour includes walking tours; it is advised to wear comfortable clothes and shoes.
