Monteverde Cloud Forest, Hanging Bridges and Coffee Tour
Experience the magic of Costa Rica on this fun and educational tour around the country. If you like coffee and nature, then you'll love this Puntarenas tour that combines both interests. Get ready for some fun in paradise.
After hopping on the Pan-American Highway with your professional guide, you'll take the scenic route toward Monteverde, an area once heavily defended from tourists. The original Quakers here did not want the land ruined by visitors. Their defense worked for a while, but now the area is one of the most popular sites in all of Costa Rica.
You'll get to see why it's so popular once you arrive at the famous Cloud Forest. Full of wildlife-especially birds-you'll never want to leave this beautiful spot. Birds, monkeys, or even the reluctant resplendent quetzal, the most beautiful bird of the tropics can be seen in this magical forest, if you are lucky, and the views from the top are extraordinary. Take a walk on the Sky Walk Hanging Bridges and cross 6 bridges across the rainforest canopy, on trails that extend through the forest for a mile and a half. As you come out of this enchanting forest you will travel to a lower area in Monteverde to discover Don Juan Coffee. Don Juan has been producing coffee since the early 1900s and turned it into one of Costa Rica's most notable exports; this isn't your run-of-the-mill java.
On this coffee tour, you'll be doing a lot more than learning about coffee-you'll also get to pick beans! Afterward, you'll chow down on a healthy lunch and then head back to the pier with the widest of smiles and fullest of bellies. Book this Puntarenas tour now for an incredible Costa Rica experience.

When we and our companions signed up for the Monteverde Cloud Forest, Hanging Bridges and Coffee Tour, we had no idea there would be only four of us on the tour! What a great surprise that was! We toured in an air-conditioned van with our bus driver, Campbell, and tour guide, Pablo. They were friendly and knowledgeable and we enjoyed their company. We drove through the beautiful Costa Rican countryside as we headed towards the mountains, then walked through the cloud forest on several hanging bridges. From there we enjoyed an excellent local lunch at a quaint restaurant along the roadside. The coffee tour was very interesting, too, and we sampled the coffee afterwards. The only disappointment was that the tour ended too quickly, and we were dropped off at the ship's dock, just in time for dinner. We had booked other tours through the ship, but this was the best tour. We will be checking into your other excursions on future trips! Thank you!
