Morning Arctic Circle Air Adventure

After checking in at the airport, board your Piper Navajo Chieftain, which holds 6 to 9 guests, depending on weight. Fly north from Fairbanks and wonder at the story of the vast and remote land below on this round trip journey by air over the Arctic Circle. Witness remnants of the gold mining that continues nearly 100 years after the yellow metal first brought newcomers rushing north. You will see sections of the remarkable Trans Alaska Pipeline, symbolizing the immense changes brought to Alaska's Arctic by the discovery of oil over 30 years ago.

Fly over the expansive Yukon River Valley, home of traditional peoples that sustain their lifestyle and culture as they have for thousands of years, and thrill at the excitement of crossing the Arctic Circle.

Take in the rugged and magnificent Brooks Mountain Range as the flight route passes just south of the Gates of the Arctic National Park.

You will experience a ceremonious Arctic Circle landing in Coldfoot, and then proceed to Wiseman, a wilderness community on the Middle Fork Koyukuk River. Upon your return to Fairbanks, you will receive an official Arctic Circle Adventure Certificate.

Guests are allowed one bag up to 5 pounds in weight, as space is limited. Oversized baggage will be left in Fairbanks. Please only bring what you need.

Please Note: Guest safety always takes precedence over convenience. On rare occasions, weather or other uncontrollable circumstances may require alterations or cancellations that may affect a portion or all of the scheduled tour itinerary. Guest seating is rotated throughout the day. Thus, each guest is provided with a variety of different viewing perspectives and the opportunity to interact with others on the tour.
