Bahamas Stingray Excursion

See stingrays up close on this unique Nassau excursion. During this island getaway, you will have the chance to touch Southern stingrays, which can reach four feet in diameter! This is the only place in all of Nassau where you can interact with this particular species. Don't miss out on this exclusive Nassau stingray experience.

When you arrive on the island, staff members will break travelers up into groups. Your tour guide will provide information about this species of ray, then you'll head down to the water and begin the stingray encounter. A trainer will briefly talk about stingrays and give you the opportunity to pet and feed one. You can even have a photo taken with a stingray for an additional fee (not included).

The rest of your time on the island is free time - spend it however you like. You can work on your tan, go kayaking, enjoy a cold drink or just relax. Restrooms, fresh water showers, and foot baths are provided in different areas around the island. Don't worry about getting back in a hurry, as the first departure from the island to downtown begins at 12:00 PM. The staff on the island will schedule your departure accordingly in order to ensure you are back to your ship on time.

Please Note: Cameras, cellphones, and loose items like jewelry are NOT permitted during the animal interaction portion of the tour.

Dolphin substitute

We signed up for the stringray encounter but ended up with a group of Dolphin encounters instead. They did not charge us extra and it was an awesome trip. Warning drinks are $17 fir a water and a beer. Two whiskey sours were $34. My advice is skip the bar n the island. The dolphin encouter was worth every cent. We rubbed their belly and danced with the holding their fins. A memory forever

Fantastic experience

I was really looking forward to this experience and I wasn't disappointed. Rays are incredible creatures and I enjoyed feeding them and touching them and learning about them. However the experience was marred by the extortionate price of the photos. $117 ...but you have no choice as they do not allow you to have any cameras with you....On Balmoral Island the prices of food and drink are ridiculous too so make sure you take a drink and snack with you especially if you have children with you...

Stingrays

The Stingray Encounter was a wonderful experience. We took a 20 minute ride to the private island by boat. Once we arrived, we were sent to meet the trainer. The trainer went over the safety stuff and we were in the water playing and feeding the stingrays in no time. Would recommend for family. The steps into the area were slippery and an elderly couple we were on the tour with had a little challenge getting in.

Good stingray excursion for the price

This is the third time I have swam with stingrays so I had the same hopes for this one. The first two were wild stingrays out in the ocean. This one was in a netted off area of the beach. They do not allow pictures because they want you to purchase theirs. If you are scared of them because of Steve Irwin, have no fear, they are de barbed. we got off the boat and went straight to the stingrays. We were in a group of about 10 people, spent about 30 minutes in the water, about 10 minutes of feeding them, and about 5-10 minutes to hold stingrays. The guide was very hard to understand for my girls so it wasn’t even educational for them. Then we got all the time we wanted on the beach. They have a huge beach with lots of chairs and umbrellas. There is a bbq and snack restaurant if you get hungry. We all had a great time, but I wouldn’t do this particular stingray excursion again because it didn’t come close to comparing to the others I’ve done.

Had great time doing this. Was still able to enjoy the beach and lots of time with the stingrays. Wish had been able to purchase single pictures instead of such a large package deal offered
