Nevis Nature Walk and Beach
Nevis Nature Walk and Beach
Make your way directly from the St. Kitts cruise port to the palm-fringed and beautiful sands of Pinney's Beach on the beautiful sister island of Nevis. Sit back and relax on the scenic ride with a beverage as your boat transfers you smoothly from the marina to Nevis.
After you arrive, meet your knowledgeable, local guide who will greet you and lead you to the trail where soon you will begin your nature walk on the lower slopes of Nevis Peak, the island's 3282 ft. high dormant volcano. Mount Ravers Estate was a sugar plantation in the 18th-century, owned by the Pinney family after whom the beach was named. It was sold in 1815 but is still privately owned. The trail winds through the rainforest that has reclaimed land once devoted to sugar. As you walk, enjoy stunning vistas of the West coast of Nevis and neighboring islands. The forest is home to wild vervet monkeys, tree frogs, and a rich variety of birdlife. Keep an eye out for some of the native wildlife along the trail as you will eventually begin to descend the moderate slopes.
Once you return to the beach you will find a delicious and cold welcome drink waiting for you to quench your thirst and then you will be served your lunch at an idyllic beachside restaurant. After lunch, claim your beach chair and shared umbrella as you indulge in some well-earned relaxation. Simply relax and listen to the waves gently lap at the shore or take a stroll along the soft sands for further exploration.
At the designated time you will re-board your boat that will pick you up from the beach and return you to St Kitts at the cruise ship pier area. The perfect adventure awaits you in Nevis with a hike through nature and then some relaxation at the beach, what could be better? Book your tour today.
Please Note: We suggest to bring bottled water with you from the ship for the hiking portion.
