Old San Juan Food Tour
We start off, by foot, near the Old San Juan City bay and eat our way through the Colonial city, visiting six tasting locations in total. Along the way you will learn a little of the history and culture of the oldest city flying under the U.S. flag, enjoy breathtaking Spanish and French architecture and dine at some of the best restaurants on the island.
Your walking tour will begin at a local restaurant with Puerto Rico's mouthwatering sweet bread, the mallorca, and a cup of locally-sourced coffee.
Then, you'll enjoy some of San Juan's beautiful architecture as you sample fresh and local favorites made with ingredients from the city's most popular farmer's market.
The favorite stop for many of our guests is next. You will get a hands on experience making our most signature local dish (mofongo) in a restaurant that was once Old San Juan's original city hall (dating back to 1523!) Your mofongo will be made with chicken or veggies upon request.
Another traditional dish in Puerto Rico is rice and beans and you will sample it in one of Old San Juan's best kept secrets, a hidden open-air patio dating back to the 17th century.
No progressive meal would be complete without dessert, and at Old San Juan's only choco bar, you'll savor hand crafted local chocolate in a beautiful, unique environment.
Finish your tour with a breezy tropical twist in one of San Juan's most charming lounges. This plush locale marries the modern and the historic with two fruity dessert favorites.
To keep the tour fresh and new, the sites visited are changed from time to time based on seasonal dishes and availability of certain foods and space at the restaurants visited. Final destinations will be announced the day of the tour by your guide.

The tour guides were excellent. They made sure the group stayed together and were mindful of groups' limitations. they were well informed regarding local history and places of interest. The first and last place visited were awesome. In all tour was worth the money I would recommend to anyone wanting a food adventure.

We selected this food tour as an excursion for our college students' study abroad that they were on. Half of the students were culinary and half were hospitality and I can say that Shannon was a great example of a professional who prided herself on her culinary and hospitality knowledge. What a great, educational experience for our students. This was indeed the highlight of our entire trip! Thank you Shannon!

Pam, the tour guide was fantastic!! She arrived early to greet us, made everyone feel comfortable. Pam gave us history and highlights of several locations along on walking tour to food sites. Also received history of places we ate and met owners/managers. I was worried about too much food but it was perfect and so amazing. As a bonus, businesses that sold additional items gave our group a discount, loved that too!! Highly recommend, especially if Pam is the guide!!!!!

We loved this tour. It was our favorite of three shore excursions we took. We felt like we were a part of the city and the culture for a day. The pace was slow enough for all of the guests and the tastings were delightful.
