Piton Views and More
St. Lucia is an Eastern Caribbean island nation home to volcanic beaches, reef-diving sites, luxury resorts and fishing villages. Trails in the interior rainforest lead to waterfalls like the 15m-high Toraille, which pours over a cliff into a garden. And on its west coast you will find a pair of dramatically tapered mountains, the Pitons, said to be the most photographed place in the Caribbean.
This is a must- see experience for anyone who visits this island, discover the rugged coastlines and unspoiled beauty along the north west coast of St. Lucia to the mythical meeting place of the twin peaks.
These twin peaks are volcanic spires rising approximately 2500 feet above sea level and are home to a diverse range of flora and fauna, in fact over 200 of them. The Pitons are also a protected UNESCO World Heritage Site as you will soon realize for yourself when you admire in awe their beauty.
Leaving the port and passing through the capital city of Castries, you will soon be on your way to the first stop as you pass hills and valleys of lush tropical landscape. At Horizon View Point you will get a striking view of the western north coast, enjoy a light refreshment and have the chance for a restroom break.
The drive continues past the sleepy fishing village of Canaries before coming to the highlight of the tour. At this stop you will get intimate views of the Majestic Pitons; St. Lucia's national treasure. The journey continues back up the West coast road and up to Morne Fortune, a historical sight with remarkable views of the city.
Make your final stop at Caribelle Batik where you will witness batik and chocolate production demonstrations and have some free time with a chance to browse the retail store. In only half a day you will experience the west coast, enjoy the stunning views of The Pitons, gain knowledge of the capital city and view village life.
Return on a short, comfortable journey back to the port area and your ship. Book now and don't miss out on this beautiful introduction to St. Lucia and all her beauty.

The Pitons were beautiful! The island of St Lucia itself was a jewel. We only saw the back side. It would have been nice to see the the resort side as well but it was no big deal. Our driver was very resourceful and taught us quite a lot about the history and customs and also the agriculture side of the island.
