Begin this private tour by meeting your exclusive guide and embarking to your first destination. As you are comfortably driven through scenic streets, marvel at the stunning architecture in the Manga residential area, a luxurious neighborhood where some mansions have been restored to their historic splendor. Make a stop at the Gold Museum where you will encounter a miniature version of Bogota's world-class gold museum, Museum del Oro. Though small, it offers a fascinating collection of the gold and pottery of the Zenu (also known as Sinu) people, who inhabited the region of the present-day departments of Bolivar, Cordoba, Sucre and northern Antioquia before the Spanish Conquest. Some pieces are exquisitely detailed.
Enjoy a brief photo-stop at the Fort of San Felipe de Barajas, a 17th century site considered the most important work of Spanish Military engineering in South America. Afterward, head to Las Bovedas (The Dungeons) for about 20 minutes of local handicraft shopping. Enjoy the wonderful architecture and history of this landmark before continuing to your remaining destinations.
Visit the Church of San Pedro Claver for a fascinating history lesson. Spanish-born monk Pedro Claver was nicknamed the "Slave of the slaves" for his lifetime work spent ministering slaves brought from Africa. After this historic landmark, arrive at the Naval Museum, opened in 1992 on the 500th anniversary of Colombus' discovery of the New World. Your tour's last destination is the Pierino Gallo Mall, where you'll have approximately 30 minutes to shop the variety of gift shops.
Your private guide returns you to port, passing through the scenic Bocagrande and Castillo Grande residential areas on your way back. Book this Cartagena tour today for a comprehensive look at some of the city's best highlights. This is one tour you don't want to miss.

Our tour met our expectations. Julie, our tour guide, was on time, knowledgeable and anxious to share her city. Her obvious pride and love of her city was contagious. She altered our tour slightly to meet the needs of two of the members in our party relating to the extreme temperature (they are heart patients) and made time to honor my request to visit a leather store for a purchase. We enjoyed our short time in Caragena with Julie. Our only regret is that we didn't have a long enough stay in this port. Beautiful city and port.

Tour and guide were enjoyable. Having private tour well worth it. Not standing in long lines or arriving with large groups. Only drawback was the vehicle. Van had seats with very high backs. Could not see out front window and difficult to hear guide at times.

We loved our tour of Cartagena, Columbia. The guide was excellent, speaking perfect English. We appreciated the very comfortable air conditioned vehicle in the hot climate. The Old City is gorgeous, and the new section of high end high rises is very impressive. The guide gave us historical background and a good overview. A great tour!
We traveled with another couple and we booked this private tour of Cartagena. They were on the dock to meet us and took us to our very nice air conditioned van all very efficiently. Our tour guide Gari was very knowledgeable and was always watching out for us. It was hard to understand him at times but enjoyed the tour despite the overwhelming heat.
Our guide and driver met us at the ship on time. They both spoke English very well and we had a great time with them. One of our group bumped her head and he stopped at a vendor for ice.
