Private Discover Tenerife

The beautiful island of Tenerife is the largest of the seven Canary Islands, which form this Atlantic Ocean archipelago. The vibrant capital city Santa Cruz comes alive every year in February or March with the arrival of the Carnival, considered to be one of the largest in the world. This sun-filled hotspot welcomes millions of people every year who are looking for the ideal vacation retreat, be it for the amazing weather, adventure or relaxation.

Be welcomed directly at the pier area of Santa Cruise port by your local, knowledgeable and friendly English-speaking guide and begin your exploration. After a short, approximately 15-minute drive, arrive to the city of La Laguna located in a beautiful valley, which has been designated a World Heritage site. A former capital of Tenerife between 1496 - 1803, discover the interesting and historical sites and architecture of colonial appearance as you enjoy a pleasant walk through some of the main streets. From here continue up the la Esperanza pine forest towards the heights of the island at 2000 meters.

Tenerife, the largest of Spain's Canary Islands, is dominated by Mt. Teide, a dormant volcano that is Spain's tallest peak. Passing through El Pinar del Monte de la Esperanza, enjoy fantastic panoramic views before reaching the peak's base. Driving up to the mountain is an interesting experience in itself! From sunny sea level where you arrive, you reach alpine like scenery and at cloud level where the terrain changes and suddenly becomes an amazing lunar landscape.

On the descent down the mountain you will experience the green Orotava Valley which has wooded hillsides and banana plantations. It was called the most beautiful place in the world by the German naturalist and explorer Alexander von Humbolt, who visited there in 1799.

When your day begins to come to an end you will then make your way back to the pier area and your ship with amazing memories to last a lifetime.

Please Note: The order of the itinerary can change on any given day due to traffic, crowds, etc. to best suit conditions.
