Private Kauai and Forbidden Island by Airplane

This private airplane tour will make for some of the most thrilling memories of your cruise when you port in Kauai, nicknamed the "Garden Island," where stunning natural beauty includes the rugged Na Pali Coast and the massive Waimea Canyon, known as "The Grand Canyon of the Pacific." Combining both views over Kauai and the arid island of Ni'ihau, this private tour will offer absolute breath-taking scenery where rainbows and cascading waterfalls abound. Climb aboard, buckle in and experience Kauai with your new Ohana (Family).

Your private aircraft is a twin engine, high wing, Partenavia P68 with large windows for your viewing pleasure. This aircraft is perfect for the breath-taking, panoramic views you will encounter. This airplane has capacity seating for just 5 passengers, making for a comfortable ride with every person having their own window seat. No other guests will be on board your aircraft and all tours are specially designed for you and your Ohana (family) and or friends desired sightseeing requests.

After meeting your friendly, local representative you will make your way to the Lihue Airport to board your aircraft. Kauai's natural gifts are unparalleled in Hawaii and you are about to learn first-hand just how extraordinary the island is. Your personal pilot will educate you about sacred Hawaiian cultures and myths, as they introduce you and your family or friends to mind-blowing scenic views of Kauai and beyond. See the Menehune Fishpond, the Eucalyptus Tunnel of Trees and Waita Reservoir, the largest reservoir on Kauai. You will also view Captain Cook's Landing in Waimea Town, the awe-inspiring Waimea Canyon and the majestic Napali Coastline. Fly over Lumahai Beach where the movie South Pacific was filmed, as well as Hanalei Valley, cascading waterfalls and Kilauea Lighthouse, a Frigate bird sanctuary. But that's not all as there are miles and miles of beautiful coastline and beaches that seem to stretch forever.

Continue to the arid island of Ni'ihau, the westernmost and seventh largest inhabited island in Hawaii. It is 17.5 miles southwest of Kauai across the Kaulakahi Channel and stretches only some 18 miles long and approximately 6 miles wide. Several intermittent playa lakes provide wetland habitats for the Hawaiian coot, the Hawaiian stilt, and the Hawaiian duck. What makes Ni'ihau so mystifying is that life here has remained mostly frozen in time.

Since it was purchased for a mere $10,000 by the Sinclair family for ranching purposes in 1864, not much has changed. There are no paved roads, no commercial buildings, no hospitals and few modern-day comforts. A small population of less than 200 live in a tiny village called Pu'uwai on the westside of the island and still communicate in the native tongue. Hunting and gathering are how sustenance are accrued and monetary work is nearly nonexistent except for a few jobs and artisan trades like selling Ni'ihau Jewelry, treasures made exclusively from shells plucked from the island's pristine beaches.

Your time in the air will be priceless with one incredible view after another, don't pass up the chance to book what may be the best tour of your cruise. This scenic adventure will be one you will remember for a lifetime!
