Private Mediterranean Cooking Experience & Dinner

If you're looking for something other than a typical Turkey tour, you've come to the right place. This fun experience goes beyond your standard monument visits. During this Istanbul tour, you'll have a chance to familiarize yourself with local cuisine. How? By cooking it yourself!

Your Istanbul cooking tour begins with a trip to Rustem Pasha Mosque, a 16th-century mosque known for its use of Iznik tiles. These tiles, featuring various floral and geometric designs, are found throughout the mosque; there are roughly 80 different designs! From the mosque, you'll continue toward the famous Spice Market and Grand Bazaar. The former is the perfect place to pick up spices and other goods to use for cooking Turkish fare. At the Grand Bazaar, shop until you drop and take advantage of great deals. While here, expect to take part in a Turkish carpet presentation.

Once you're done shopping, the real fun begins; cooking! For two hours, you'll take instructions from English-speaking Turkish chefs to prepare a 6-course feast. Don't worry if you're not an expert chef. These recipes are easy to follow and can be used later at home. Your tour ends with dinner (whatever you cooked) plus local wine to wash it all down. Following dinner, you'll be taken back to the cruise ship.
