Private Montevideo City & Wine Tour

Montevideo is a vibrant city with beautiful parks, stunning architecture, and historic monuments. Explore the best of everything on this private tour. Enjoy your own exclusive guide and vehicle as you travel from destination to destination in comfort. Landmarks you'll visit include Ciudad Vieja (Old City), Solis Theater, Centenario Stadium, and many others. This private tour is ideal for newcomers to Uruguay and anyone interested in a comprehensive private tour away from large crowds.

The Ciudad Vieja, or "Old City," is a great place to walk through and feel Montevideo's local culture. Delightful bakeries, street vendors, restaurants, and shops line the streets of Ciudad Vieja. Enjoy beautiful architecture as your private guide leads you to your next destination. Feel history come alive at Independence Square, Montevideo's most important plaza. The square separates Ciudad Vieja from the downtown area, linking old and new Montevideo in striking fashion.

On one side of Independence Square is the Gateway of the Citadel. On the other, the beginning of 18 de Julio Avenue. Most of the highlights of your private tour are located within or near Independence Square, such as The Solis Theater and Palacio Salvo. Navigate Independence Square with your private guide before continuing to other parts of Montevideo.

"El Prado" is one of the oldest neighborhoods in Montevideo and a major public park. Tree-lined streets serve as home to a collection of mansions built in the 20th century. Battle Park is another neighborhood and major public park area. It is considered the "lung" of Montevideo because of the abundance of trees planted over 150 acres. Battle Park is also home to Centenario Stadium, one of the most important stadiums for the development of South American and international soccer.

Begin the scenic drive back to your port, passing long stretches of beautiful beaches on your way to a wine vineyard. Uruguay has an admired wine-making tradition, something you'll experience at the vineyard. See what the wine-making process looks like, then sample some delicious flavors! Conclude your tour at "Mercado del Puerto" (port market), a vibrant spot with local food, music, crafts, and people.

Your professional guide will tailor your Montevideo tour according to his personal knowledge. You may visit landmarks in a non-specific order. Other highlights of this tour include residential areas like Pocitos and Punta Carretas, Parliament Space, the Supreme Court of Justice, Colonial Town Hall, and Club Uruguay. Book this private Montevideo tour today for a comprehensive overview of the city's most important highlights. This is one tour you don't want to miss.

Private Montevideo City and Wine Tour
March 20, 2019
This was the best wine tour I have ever been on. Veronica our guide did a spectacular job on describing the city of Montevideo and the Winery selected for us to visit was by far wonderful. We visited Marichal and Facundo made the tour exciting and fun. The wine tasting was incredible, the different wines were very good and Tannat was my favorite. The four of us enjoyed this very private tour
