Join your local, knowledgeable and friendly guide, who is a food expert on this 3-hour immersive, private food walking tour and explore all your senses while you taste delicious Greek food. Explore with your guide their favorite spots in Chania while strolling leisurely through the backstreets and lesser-known pockets of the city, that only the locals know about. In between the exploring you will sample Cretan specialties and will also learn about the art of filo making.

After a short, approximately 15 minute drive from the port area, arrive at the first stop of your walking food tour. Start at the Platia Agoras and stroll through the local market to see the various products that the vendors specialize in. Then sample dairy products such as local cheese and other seasonal produce from passionate traders, who are proud to share their knowledge.

Next, visit a renowned bougatsa shop to taste the Cretan bougatsa (a traditional Greek pie with a creamy custard and a light phyllo). Here you will also learn about the art of traditional filo pastry making by hand.

Then visit a traditional Kafeneio (coffee house) and sample some coffee and loukoumades (the Greek version of donuts) while you learn more about the different Greek cakes and biscuits on display.
