Private The Country of San Marino

The enchanting city of San Marino, situated on the slope of Mount Titano, is the capital of the microstate of the same name, San Marino. This microstate is located on the Apennine mountain range and is completely surrounded by Italy.

On this exploration of San Marino you will travel along rolling green hills dotted by quaint villages until you reach the city's perfectly preserved medieval center. You will feel like you are in a fairy tale as you walk past San Marino's high city walls with its gateways, towers and ramparts. As the world's oldest and smallest republic, it retains much of its historic architecture. The Three Towers, castle-like citadels dating to the 11th century, sit atop Titano's neighboring peaks.

Walk through narrow winding streets and past medieval houses and churches and imagine what it would have been like to have lived here many centuries ago. You will notice the quiet hum of the city center as there are no cars, buses or trucks allowed that would pollute the ambience. From this high vantage point, you can grab stunning photos of mountain peaks capped with fortified towers and see the linking wall system protecting San Marino's borders.

You will also enjoy spectacular views of the outlying regions of Emilia-Romagna to the north and east, and Marche to the south and west.

If you love history and romantic settings you will not want to miss this tour, book today!
