Treat yourself like royalty with an extra day of sightseeing and a historical Valparaiso tour. It's just you, your companions, and your personal guide and driver for this up-close exclusive tour of fascinating sights.
The excitement begins as you and your guests are escorted through the centuries-old seaport city of Valparaiso. Pass by the National Congress building, the meeting place of Chilean legislature and a controversial landmark due to its location on the site of one of Augusto Pinochet's boyhood home. Explore the lovely city parks and plazas such as Plaza Italia, De La Victoria, and Sotomayor. Stroll past colorful houses and interesting architecture on Alegre Hill, one of the most beautiful promenades in the city. Wander through Pleasant Hill Historical District's well-preserved neighborhoods, then take a fun 80-second ride up Artilleria Hill on the funicular (wooden cable car elevator) railway for breathtaking views.
From there, travel to Vina del Mar, where you can pose for a picture next to the famous Garden Clock, a well-manicured lawn clock made of flowers. Try your hand at one of the many slot machines, blackjack, or roulette tables in the city's posh Municipal Casino. Explore Quinta Vergara, a beloved park containing an amphitheater, interactive museum, and Palace Vergara, the former home-turned-art museum of the city's founder, Jose Francisco Vergara.
After an optional stop for lunch, you'll be taken to historical downtown Santiago. See La Moneda, formerly the old mint building, now the stately presidential palace complete with changing guards. Observe the former National Congress building and the Justice Palace housing the Supreme Court of Chile. Stand in the impressive Plaza de Armas, lined with notable buildings including the Cathedral, City Hall, and National History Museum.
Also on view are the former Governor's Palace, now the city's main post office. Visit Mercado Central, a bustling fish market with a vaulted, intricately designed cast-iron roof covering several vendors and restaurants. See the lush verdant trees of Parque Forestal as well as the trendy Barrio Bellas Artes neighborhood next door. Arrive at Santa Lucia Hill, the remnant of a 15-million-year-old volcano and the place where Santiago was founded in 1541. If time allows, you'll also see Barrio Bellavista, a colorful bohemian artist colony. After the tour, ride back through scenic Casblanca Valley to your hotel in Santiago, or the airport.
Reserve your spot on this VIP Valparaiso tour for a fabulous day steeped in Chilean culture and history.

My clients said the tour guide had wrong client's name. They told the guide there were 6 of them and the guide said he was also looking for 6 passengers so the problem was solved. All six of my clients said they really enjoyed the tour and said their guide was excellent.
Great idea when you leave a cruise. Luggage in security. The driver stayed in the van at all times. Very safe driving. Great visit of Valparaiso. Our guide was very knowledgeable and caring. We had great food in Vina Del Mar, best empanadas ever and saw an Easter Island Statue. Decided to have a longer visit of Valparaiso as we stayed over in Santiago 3 nights. The guide showed us the important sites of Santiago and dropped us off at the appartment we had rented. They even waited till the owners arrived before leaving.
