Rhodes Jeep Safari Adventure
Filled with history, the Island of Rhodes has plenty to explore. This beautiful island is known for its beach resorts, ancient ruins, and remnants of its occupation by the Knights of St. John during the Crusades.
Discover the mountainous northern, non-touristic side of Rhodes Island from West to East far away from mass tourism and crowded places. Be introduced to the natural beauty of Rhodes mountains and experience the best panoramic views around. Begin your adventure at the cruise pier where your local tour guide will pick you up in a 4x4 Jeep.
Drive to the east side of the island making your way to Kolimbia Village where you will begin to familiarize yourself with your beautiful surroundings. Make a stop for coffee or tea and some refreshments before your real adventure begins.
Now that you have had a break you are ready for some real exploring. Following an old German-Italian war route your driver/escort will provide you loads of historical information concerning the area and the local lifestyle as you pass through small villages past Monasteries and chapels. These hidden, off-road paths are dense with vegetation and full of natural beauty taking you to places that only a four-wheel vehicle can access.
As you continue traversing Rhodes you will reach the small, traditional village of Kitrinia, considered one of the most beautiful communities in Rhodes. Stop for your delicious lunch in a charming local tavern in the village square where you can relax under Plateaus trees.
Fully refreshed, you will continue the tour on an easy, comfortable paved asphalt route back to your ship and the pier area with your camera filled with lifetime memories.
This tour is scheduled to stop every 30-40 minutes for everyone's convenience.
Disappointed this is the first review. This was an amazing and such a memorable experience. There were 6 in our group so there were two jeeps. My husband and I were in the jeep with Thanasis. He is now our favorite person. He tailored the tour completely to us. I mentioned loving the beach, so he took us to a beach. He had a genuine passion and love for Rhodes and Greek culture so he had so much knowledge to share with us. We truly fell in love with Thanasis and actually experienced separation anxiety after our 8 hour trip together haha. The stops were beautiful, the food was amazing, and the guys were the best. I could not recommend this tour more! Forget what anyone says about booking excursions outside of your crew ship, I promise you they're better, cheaper, and you'll be so much happier!
