Explore Roatan's reef from above and below during this small group kayaking and snorkel Roatan excursion.
After meeting your driver at the pier area, you will travel approximately 30 minutes on a scenic route with incredible views over the reefs of Roatan to reach your starting point. Unlike the large snorkel tours, this one departs from a North Shore beach, where you will not find the West End crowds.
You will meet your experienced guide who will provide you with floatation vests and snorkel gear. Next, they will explain basic paddling techniques for your kayak, which is a single seat, sit-on-top style.
Once you are confident of the kayak's operation, you will set off in your small Roatan excursion group, never more than 5 guests at a time, in calm water behind the barrier reef and pass deserted beaches and mangroves.
You will kayak for almost one hour along the scenic coast before returning back to the dive shop. From here you will be taken by boat to the snorkeling location where you can explore the waters beneath the surface. For guests not wishing to snorkel, you have the choice of remaining back at Turquoise Bay Resort where you can beach walk, play in the water, or taste one of the tasty tropical drinks, sodas or beer available for purchase at the beach bar.
After time is all up, you will be transferred back to the cruise pier.
Please Note: This tour can only accommodate up to five people at one time. A Roatan Marine Park fee of $5 US (additional cost) per person will be collected upon arrival.

Fun, easy way to snorkel on the reef. Good support for hesitant snorkelers. A long drive to reach a beautiful sport. The kayaking was great among the mangroves.

Beautiful reef to snorkel They were a bit overbooked and we had to leave before we could kayak.
We very much enjoyed this excursion. Everything from picking us up at the dock to the activities was smooth and well run. Beautiful beach and resort. The kayaking and snorkelingvwere great fun, the reef coral and fish were in excellent condition. A well run excursion. Our driver Ronnie gave us an interesting commentary, answered all our questions and drove carefully.
The staff were all friendly and helpful. The snorkel portion was amazing. It was my boyfriends first time and they took a lot of time with him to teach him how to snorkel. We saw a lot of amazing fish and sea creatures. The dive master would even free dive to bring some up closer to us. The down fall to this excursion was the kayaking. The kayaks are out of date and not in good shape. They only had about 4 working ones.
We enjoyed the personal attention of being in a small group (6). The snorkelling equipment especially the boat was suberb. The dive guide knew his stuff and geared the tour to our abilities and interests. Little extra touches like free water and fresh pineapple at the end of the snorkelling just added to the day. We choose to bypass the kayaking in favour of doing more snorkelling it was so crystal clear. Friends did kayak and enjoyed the mangroves. We were also offered the option of staying on the beach as long as we wanted before returning to the ship.
