Had it with cruise line crowds? No worries with this small group Roatan Reef Snorkel by Boat Tour.

After meeting your driver at the pier area, you will travel approximately 30 minutes to reach your boat. Depending on the weather and sea conditions of the day, your captain will choose the location that will give you the most memorable experience for your Roatan excursion.

Setting out with your small group, usually 6 to 15 snorkelers only, you will motor to an area where the large boats with mobs of people don't go. Here, with your experienced Roatan excursion guide, you will snorkel with plenty of elbow room on the spectacular, unspoiled reef. Fins, mask and snorkel are included in the price.

After your first snorkeling adventure, you will take a short break before traveling to a different site for a second snorkel. While you make your way to the second snorkeling site, you can lounge in the shade under the boat's cover and relax. Besides the multicolored corals, you will see a wide range of marine life, including tropical colored fish you usually only see in an aquarium. You will spend about 1 hour at each of the snorkel stops. Feel free to return to the boat whenever you wish, as your guide will never venture far from where the boat is moored. After the tour ends, and if time allows, you can also enjoy some free time at the nearby resort and beach. At the appointed time, you will be transferred back to the cruise pier.

Please Note: A Roatan Marine Park fee of $5 US (additional cost) per person will be collected upon arrival.

Our family of 5 had a blast on this trip. Easy ride from the terminal. Darrin runs a great dive shop. Our guide Dubin was terrific. We had the boat to ourselves and never felt rushed. Great bonus was access to a private secluded beach with amazing views.

We ended up being the only 2 on the snorkel trip. We basically had the guide to ourselves.

two very long snorkel sessions and the guides were excellent. it was too windy to go on the ridge of the atoll at the marine park, but they took us close where we were able to see tons of large starfish and conch and fish on a smaller part of the reef. the ride across the island was pretty nice tour

Subway water sports was the operator we were booked with. I really appreciated how the dive masters and boat captains took care of my 8 year old twin boys so they could try to snorkel. When my boys had enough, they let them hang out on the boat while my husband and I continued snorkeling. If we return to Roatan I would look up this dive shop again to go scuba diving.

Roatan is one of the less decimated islands (cruise ship traffic has hurt reefs) so fish life here is still pretty good. We had a fabulous time with a dive shop that actively works to keep the Roatan reef healthy. A lovely small group and lots of fun. Also, they were well organized getting us from the cruise pier to the dive shop.
