This Rotorua hop-on, hop-off tour departs from Tauranga, passing through Te Puke, the delicious kiwi fruit capital of the world, then forests, followed by Lake Rotoiti and Lake Rotorua. Along the way, your driver will provide information on the highlights you could visit in Rotorua and the best options for doing so. The route circulates four times during the day. The final stop near the Agrodome allows you to fit in the last show before returning to Tauranga by a different route, through forests, into deep gorges, past farms and kiwifruit orchards.

Explore Rotorua at your own pace and see the sights you are interested in. Hop off at the Te Puia Maori Arts & Crafts Institute to admire the local art traditions, or visit the thermal village Te Whakarewarewa located only a five minute walk away. Stop by the Rotorua Information Centre in the city's center for some expert advice or to start exploring the town. At the Rotorua lakefront area, take in the natural beauty of one of New Zealand's second largest lake. Relax at the Polynesian Spa, a world famous natural geothermal spa close to the Government Gardens, Bath House Museum, and the Blue Baths. At Skyline Skyrides Rotorua, located near the Agrodome, you can ride in a gondola, get your heart pumping on a zipline course, or enjoy fine dining with gorgeous views.

You will be provided with a detailed information sheet and that day's timetable. There is an additional discount of 10% off the usual ticket prices at featured destinations. Upon request, you can be dropped off at several local attractions or activities on the way to the Rotorua area. There is no obligation to visit any destination, just cruise on the coach and check out the highlights as you wish. Book this Tauranga tour today for a great New Zealand excursion.

Please Note: This is a self-paced tour and does not include admission to the attractions described above. This tour will return you to the ship approximately 7 hours after pick up from the pier, and at least 1 hour before the ship's sailing time. Our excursion was very interesting. We enjoyed our lunch at the beach. The cable car ride was great. Particularly enjoyed watching the giant swing.

The tour bus driver was very knowledgeable and considerate. He was very helpful in planning stops and making sure people who left would be picked up again. The drive was long to Rotorua, so much of the time was spent on the drive to/from the ship. Plenty to see at Rotorua given more time.
