Tour Details

This cultural, immersive tour will introduce you to the local resident Don Severo and his lifestyle. This gentleman has grown up in the Sierra Madre region and he is passionate about his home, the flora and fauna. He will show you to the secret cave he discovered as a child plus introduce you to his organic orchard where he grows among other things, "criollo" maize, bananas, sugar cane, peaches, mango, papaya, and guavas. And to top off this most amazing day, meet his wife Simona who is happy to provide you with a traditional meal directly from farm to table.

Be met at the pier area after debarking your ship and set off to the Sierra Madre region of Mazatlan. Your small group of no more than ten participants will be provided with a very intimate and personal experience like no other tour offer while in Mazatlan. This small group ensures minimizing environmental impact, guest's safety and allowing for one on one personal attention.

After you arrive to your destination, be given your walking stick for the day and soak in the peaceful and beautiful natural surroundings. You may also wish to bring your own drinking canteen/flask or you could buy one from the shop to help support Mazatlan's Carbon Neutral initiative (fresh water provided).

You will spend the next few hours with Don Severo as he guides you along trails to discover his secret cave, his fields of orchards where he grows organic fruits, and eventually back to his home. Don will let you sample some of the delicious organic fruit picked right from the trees, it doesn't get any fresher than that. Don is a wealth of knowledge concerning all things with the Sierra Madre region and your time spent with him will be not only educational but also spiritually enlightening.

To cap off this amazing experience you will meet Don's wife Simona who will prepare fresh and local ingredients to craft a homemade, traditional lunch you will enjoy in their home. The warm hospitality this husband and wife team create is infectious and you will come away from this tour feeling as if you have been given a glimpse into a completely different and natural way of living.

Don't miss this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to take advantage of something you will find nowhere else while on your Mexican Riviera cruise, truly a life-changing experience awaits you. Sign up today as space is very limited and will sell out fast!
