The Soualiga Sky Explorer chairlifts comprise of sixty-eight, four-passenger chairs providing smooth rides up two lifts spanning a total of 2,997 ft. The landscape unfolds beneath you as you climb the mountain. Once on top, you will have the most spectacular panoramic view laid out in front of you.

Also atop of the mountain is the Emilio Wilson Museum which sits on the grounds of what was once a sugar plantation kept in operation by slave labor. The museum tells the compelling story of Trace Wilson, who was born into slavery on the property in 1818 and her direct descendant Emilio Wilson. Emilio Wilson, the grandson of Trace, purchased the property in 1954 and opened it to the public as a park in memory of the slaves who made St. Maarten what it is today. Guests will see depictions of what life was like on the plantation and learn about the customs, traditions, lifestyle, and stories that earned St. Maarten the nickname ''The Friendly Island.''

After your experience on the mountain, you will drive over to a family-friendly beach, delivering pristine crystallized sand and refreshing waters. Experience the oasis or simply relax in this paradise of tranquility. During your 45 minutes of free time at the beach, you can spend your time swimming, sunning, or eating and dancing at the local beach restaurant and bar.
