Your day begins aboard a comfortable air-conditioned vehicle where your experienced guide will introduce you to St. Lucia by showing you exciting areas of the capital city of Castries. Your drive continues along the zigzagging road heading up the Morne for a panoramic view of the town, and if you're lucky and it's a clear day, you will be able to see the neighboring island of Martinique.

Your first stop is the famous Caribelle Batik. This place is an estate rich in history featuring a cafe, and artist studio. You will wander among duty-free shops, dozens of elegant stores, and a local craft market to find all your souvenir purchases. From there, you will drive down the west coast of the island.

From there, your next stop and highlight of the tour is the rum distillery. On the way there you will pass through hills and valleys of tropical landscape. Long stretches of farmland and plantations will greet you as you drive to the distillery. Just before arriving at the distillery, you will have the opportunity to make a quick stop to photograph the beautiful Marigot Bay.

Upon arrival, the fun begins! The rum tasting part of the tour starts with a short video explaining the rum-making process, its connection to the island, and the distillery's family beginnings. Upon completion, the tour moves into the factory where you are encouraged to use all your senses to appreciate the uniqueness of rum making.

Your tour ends with a carnival extravaganza, showcasing colorful costumes and melodic sounds of the steel pan, a veritable rum sampling buffet ranging from creamy liqueurs to invigorating spiced rum, which is available for purchase. The tour will depart the distillery and return to the cruise pier passing through the city once more highlighting other areas.
