St Lucia PADI Discover Scuba Diving
PADI Discover Scuba Diving Day Trip in St. Lucia
Discover excitement, adventure, freedom, and serenity on this St. Lucia excursion. Nothing compares to the "weightless" exhilaration of breathing underwater. Only a diver knows the feeling, and you will, too, after your first one-tank scuba dive!
The same sites that offer spectacular snorkeling also provide the ideal setting for individuals wishing to discover the wonders of the undersea world through scuba diving. Because these sites originate from the beach, you are introduced to this new sport in a calm and relaxing atmosphere.
After being transferred to the dive shop, your day is divided into three easy steps. First, your instructor provides a brief orientation. Second, you go down to the beach and in shallow water put on the diving equipment. There, you'll learn to use scuba equipment and get accustomed to your new surroundings. Third, once the instructor feels secure with your knowledge and comfort level with the equipment, your instructor will lead you on a one-tank dive adventure in the ocean to get a close-up look at this remarkable underwater world. Your dive may be either off the beach or off a boat, depending on water conditions that day.
It's an experience you will certainly never forget. The St. Lucia tour price includes transfers, lunch, beverages and all scuba equipment required. Wet suits are not included; if you need one, can be rented for approximately $10 US. In addition to a great experience, the skills you acquire during your dive adventures may count toward PADI Scuba Diver and Open Water Diver certifications!
Health restrictions apply and a waiver and medical statement is required to be filled out by all participants. Please look at the following example:

IN ADDITION: If you are taking medication, consult your doctor before participating in this program.

I am a certified scuba diver, but I'm now 65, and I haven't scuba dived in 35 years. I wanted to scuba dive again, in a safe way, and was delighted to find this opportunity. Technically, it's meant for non-certified scuba divers, but it was perfect for me. It pairs you one-on-one with a diving instructor who prepares you with a written lesson, a lecture, and quiz before you get in the water. Once that's completed, the instructor gets you suited-up and once in the water, gives you some basic skills instruction, and tests you on your abilities. The instructor then accompanies you on an actual scuba dive. At my request, we held hands the whole time. I felt completely safe and secure, and had a beautiful and wonderful dive. I would do it again in a heartbeat! I think this would be a difficult experience for someone not familiar with snorkeling and using a face mask. My instructor was Ponti Francis; he was amazing!! This was an experience I will never forget!

All staff were very professional. Everything was on schedule and worked like a well-oiled machine.
It was not quite as thrilling as I had expected, but being able to breath underwater and enjoy such beauty is unforgettable. I even have a better understanding of my lungs and sinuses from the way the pressure affected me. The seawater made a muscle I pulled the week before feel 99% better. I want to get PADI certified and do it again, hopefully. I spent so much time in the water by the time I got back on the boat most of our group had already eaten. The instructor could have had a little more humor, but I guess making sure people don't drown themselves is a big responsibility and makes one come off as very serious. I am an instructor of a somewhat hazardous job for the company that I work for and would have liked to give the instructor some tips, but too short of a time. Excellent experience, moderate danger level if done incorrectly, and rejuvenating.
