Flip Flop Snorkel
Flip Flop Snorkel Day Trip
For guests not wishing to make the trek to the French side of the island, the "Flip Flop Snorkel" St. Maarten port tour makes a great snorkel option on the Dutch side.
After arriving at the dive shop and filling out the required paperwork, you will be given the included gear for your snorkel adventure and make your way to the boat right off the beach. Setting out from Little Bay, your boat will take you along the coast to a great location for your introduction to St. Maarten's undersea world.
Depending on the weather and sea conditions that day, your captain will head for the best snorkeling spots, usually along Simpson or Mullet Bay. The tour lasts approximately 2 hours and usually two stops are made for snorkeling.
Upon return to the resort, guests can use the beach area for swimming. Chairs and water activities such as kayaks and jet skis are available for rental. The resort also has a cafe and bar overlooking the water. Transfers are not included in the tour so guests can come or go when they wish. It is the guests' responsibility to make their way back to the cruise pier in time for their ship's sailing.
The cruise ship arrived at the time the tour was leaving so the guide rescheduled us later in the day. It was a private tour. We were provided an umbrella and chairs on a pristine beach while we waited for the tour. We were treated like royalty!!

Snorkeling spots did not provide crystal clear waters. Difficult to enjoy wildlife - wildlife wasn't really present.
