Walk through beautiful Lisbon and see its famous landmarks on this scenic tour. Start your Lisbon walking tour by joining a local guide in one of the city's most imposing squares, the Praca dos Restauradores. This famous landmark commemorates the restoration of Portugal's independence back in 1640 and is an apt starting point for this tour through Lisbon's musical and culinary heritage.
From here, you'll head over to Mouraria and get to try Lisbon's famous liqueur, Ginjinha. The liqueur is made from sour cherries and has been used as medicine since the mid-1800s. Next up, you'll travel back in time and hop on an old Tram 28 to take in amazing views and observe the city's majestic sunset.
Alfama is another neighborhood that you'll visit; it's the city's oldest quarter, and it's full of charming squares, historic buildings and cobblestone streets. You'll have the chance to soak up the local culture at neighborhood taverns and music venues while here. Before finishing your tour at an old Palace for traditional tapas and wine, you will have the opportunity to stop and admire the River Tagus. You won't get an experience like this on other Lisbon tours!
Please Note: This tour ends at the Alfama district.

This was the best tour I took in a 12-day trip. The guide, Joana Matheus, was outstanding and a major reason why the tour was so wonderful. She was charming & funny while being a great educator about Lisbon, its history, culture, food, and especially fado music. I'd recommend this tour to anyone visiting Lisbon, especially if it's with Joana.
