To make your Caribbean vacation complete, explore the raw jungle and lush canopy of Roatan on a stimulating Eco-walk.
After meeting your driver at the pier for this Roatan excursion, you will make your way to the island's West End, approximately a 30 minute-drive, where your jungle exploration takes place.
Setting out with your guide, you will descend down into the raw jungle of Roatan Island, walking over paved paths, wooden steps, and suspension bridges while keeping an eye out for tropical flowers, "Tarzan" vines, birds, lizards, iguanas, fruit and nut trees and amazing views. This is a great trip for photographers!
The suspension bridges have a width of four feet and a capacity for 10 people. They vary in length from 150 feet to 200 feet, making them the longest and strongest bridges in the Western Caribbean. They range in height from 20 to 85 feet above the ground. The walking portion of the tour lasts about 40 minutes and covers approximately one mile in distance. When you reach the bottom, transportation is available to take you back up to the top where you can meet up with the transfer back to the cruise pier. The more active can retrace their steps.
Please note: Infants are allowed in a carrier backpack only up to 11 months are free of charge.
The eco walk was a good choice for our middle aged group of four. Tour guide was knowledgeable and let us take our time.

This was a must do...tour people were nice and went beyond themselves to help and explain. The rainforest and bridges were extraordinary. Our guide was knowledgeable and clear about the elements of the jungle.. It was easy to navigate the bridges . The only thing I would say was slightly challenging would be the amount of stairs require good balance and endurance

A lot of fun. Our guide was very knowledgeable and explained the medicinal properties of many of the plants. Only negative was the noise from the zip lines overhead.

We had the most informative guide(olvania) she knew so much about the jungle and was so nice to share her knowledge with us! Our driver( Dennis) also was very nice and gave us info about Roatan and pointed out lots of interesting trees, plants etc! We loved this excursion!

We were in a group of 4 so it goes without saying that we had the attention of our guide. She was very informative and interesting to listen to throughout the tour. For me 2 hours was all the time I wanted to be away from the ship but I also wanted to do something different. This fit my criteria and I'd do the tour again.
