Taste of Cozumel with Mexican Traditions

The fun begins on this Cozumel excursion as you head to Mexico Lindo Tequilera, a tequila manufacturer, to learn the origins of Mexico's national drink and the role it has played throughout Mexican history and culture. Learn how tequila is manufactured and sample several different types.

From there you will travel to Mayan Cacao Company to discover the origins of chocolate and how the ancient Mayans used the beans for currency. See the tools they used to create hot cocoa, their sacred beverage. Sample some delicious chocolate then continue to Playa Mia Grand Beach and Water Park.

Here you will attend an exciting Mexican Cuisine workshop where you will craft a three-course meal. Under the supervision of your expert chef you will make a variety of Mexican dishes including dessert. Once you have finished cooking your meal you will have the chance to sit down with a cocktail, your fellow cooks and a gorgeous ocean view as you enjoy the delicious fruits of your labor.

After your cooking lesson, you will be taken back to your cruise ship or you may choose stay at the beach park to enjoy its crystal-clear waters of the Caribbean and sunbathe on the white-sand beach; however, you must arrange for your own transportation back to the cruise ship.

For an additional fee, the following activities and items are also availabile at the park: drinks at the espresso bar, beach umbrellas, snorkel gear, other water sport equipment, outdoor massage, hair braiding, a fish spa, parasailing, and more.

This Cozumel tour is a great introduction to the flavors and culture of Mexico, reserve your place today.

Fun Day!
March 01, 2019
This excursion was well organized and the pace was perfect! Adrian was attentive to the needs of all of us. He was able to interact with everyone. He made sure one couple got back to their ship before the tour ended. The activities were interesting and the cooking was excellent! The chef was creative, funny and kept everyone together. We would recommend this tour for all adults!

Carnival NEEDS To Pick Up This Excursion!
February 21, 2019
This tour was the best one we have ever had in Cozumel. It took you to places that not everyone gets to see. The Tequilera was very interesting and we were able to buy some incredible tequila that is not available in the U.S. The cooking class was so much fun and included everything from appetizers to dessert. Plus they captured some amazing photos of us cooking. I would definitely do this one again!

Good Excursion!

We started with a tequila tour and bought some! Then we had a chocolate tour, which was nice. But the best was the cooking class. My wife who is a great cook and a professional level baker had a very enjoyable time. We cooked our lunch! The chef had some good tips and was right there with us while we put it all together. If you want a lesson, good food and down an alcoholic drink or two or three, while working and eating, this would be a great time for you.
