Visit both Hawaii Volcanoes National Park and the city of Hilo on this small group guided tour, seeing Kilauea Caldera and exploring the volcanic formations along the Chain of Crater's Road including Thurston Lava Tube. Thereafter, you'll visit a local chocolate factory for samples and coffee tasting before seeing the spectacular Rainbow Falls and a black sand beach.
Explore volcanic formations of the world renowned Kilauea volcano on a guided journey to Hawaii Volcanoes National Park. Experience volcanic steam vents while taking in extraordinary views of Kilauea caldera where the summit caldera has grown in size and drastically changed the landscape. Optional hikes are available based on the group's interest to experience the lava fields, an ancient lava tube and the native rain forest. You'll then view other volcanic formations along Chain of Crater's Road and witness the raw power of the volcano and the beauty and destruction that it leaves behind.
Thereafter you'll take a scenic drive through downtown Hilo and stop at a chocolate factory to sample locally grown coffee and Big Island treats. Then, continue on to Rainbow Falls, one of Hilo's most famous waterfalls.
