Kona Beach Break
Get ready for sand and sun on this relaxing Kona beach excursion. Set off from the pier to Kahaluu Beach Park, where you will have access to one of the Big Island's most beautiful beaches. Located a few miles south of Kailua Kona, the Kahaluu Beach Park is considered one of the finest snorkeling beaches in Hawaii for both novice and experienced snorkelers. Beaming with colorful fish and coral, it is also a feeding ground for the Hawaiian Sea Turtle. Protected by a breakwater, the snorkeling area remains relatively calm even during higher surf conditions. The south end of the bay provides for better snorkeling while the north end is exposed to the waves that attract surfing enthusiast. Sunbathing and picnicking areas are also available.
Snorkeling equipment is not included on this tour, but can be rented at the beach. There are also public restrooms and showers at Kahaluu beach. Shops and restaurants can be found at Keauhou Shopping Center, which is a 10 to 15 minute walk from Kahaluu Beach.
Please Note: There are no lockers available for storing beach bags or purchases from the stores. Guests wishing to enjoy the beach and shop may wish to leave the shopping for the end so they do not have their purchases on the beach with them.

Bus was on time and very comfortable . Driver was attentive and pleasant. Only issue was the sharpness of the rocks where you snorkel . Sand is also very coarse. But those issues are not able to be changed and doesn't effect the pleasant trip to the beach.
