Setting out from the pier with your professional guide, you will drive through the scenic countryside to the monastery town of Bad Doberan. The first highlight can be seen from a great distance away; the 700-year-old red brick Minster, a Gothic church built in the brick architecture of northern Germany. It is impressive both in style and size. Enjoy a visit inside and learn about the lives of the monks who have prayed within these walls over the centuries. You will also take a stroll through the surrounding park.

Next, you will take a ride on one of Germany's famous narrow-gauge railways. The historic 'Molli-Train' - driven by an old steam engine - is still a means of public transport and popular among both young and old alike. Enjoy a 25-minute scenic ride through the paths and lanes of Mecklenburg to the beautiful seaside resort of Heiligendamm. More than 200 years ago, this enchanting place was built for the German Kaiser and as a fashionable resort for European royalty including the German Emperor and the Russian Tsar. It was nicknamed 'The White Town on the Sea' because of the white buildings.

Continue on to Kuhlungsborn, a seaside spa town that is a mixture of the last century with the new. With a beach, many hotels, Germany's longest seaside promenade and a marina, it is easy to feel the attraction. Here you will have some free time to explore before returning to the pier.
