Join us on this tour of magnificent Volcanoes National Park and then sample some of Hawaii's most famous natural products - coffee, macadamia nuts, and wine, all produced on the spectacular eastern side of the island.
Your guide will take you to Volcanoes National Park, the most highly regarded and revered volcanic area on Earth. The park displays the results of 70 million years of volcanism, migration, and evolution - processes that thrust a bare land from the sea and clothed it with unique ecosystems, and a distinct human culture. The park highlights two of the world's most active volcanoes - Kilauea and Mauna Loa, and offers insights on the birth of the Hawaiian Islands and views of dramatic volcanic landscapes.
At the park, you will stop at the Visitor Center, see the highly acclaimed Jagger Museum and witness spectacular lava tubes, steam vents, sulfur banks, and fascinating scenic look outs. No trip to Hawaii is complete without a trip to Volcanoes National Park.
After your trip to the park, you will visit a macadamia orchard and farm. Here you will observe the harvesting process and, most importantly, sample the macadamia nuts! Next you will drive to a coffee farm where you will learn about the production and roasting process and then taste fresh brewed Hawaiian coffee.
Your last stop will be a local volcano winery. At this very unique winery, tropical fruits like yellow guava and the exotic jaboticaba berry are blended with traditional wine grapes and transformed into vibrant creations that capture the playful spirit of the Hawaiian paradise.
You will enjoy the spectacular views on your drive back to the port.
