After departing from the cruise pier, you will drive to the rainforest where your adventure begins. The Zip line tour begins with an orientation chat where the rules and regulations for safety and security are explained thoroughly. After this, we will transfer you to the first platform.
You will cross the forest from tree to tree with first class equipment on a double cable system. The tour is 6,500 feet of short and long cables with the longest cable measuring almost 1,500 feet long. Through the trees you may catch glimpses of the Caribbean Ocean, the Banano River, and, of course, the forest. The platforms are arranged at different heights off the ground and the zips are at different angles to bring you many levels of excitement. The entire zip takes approximately 60 minutes to complete.
After this ecological tour, come back to earth and visit a banana plantation and packing house, where many interesting facts about this amazing fruit will be explained including planting, harvesting, processing, packing and exportation. Costa Rica is the second largest banana producer in the world and 80% of the plantations are located in the Limon province. During weekdays, you may be able to see the workers doing their job in the fields and the packing house.
PLEASE NOTE: This tour takes place in a rainforest. During the rainy season, (September-November) please bring a raincoat. Trip operates rain or shine. Changing facilities, restrooms, lockers, restaurant and bar are all provided on this tour.
