A Taste of Nice

Your walking tour will take place within Nice old town, through some of the most characteristic streets of the city.

This social, culinary experience draws people from all over the world sharing food stories and enjoying a relaxing and joyful atmosphere. Nice is famous for its sunny weather, the Promenade des Anglais, the beauty of its center, and its great history. What people often don't know is that Nice is above all a city with an incredible gastronomic culture! And there's no better way to get to know this city and its traditions than to taste its dishes, meet the warm, local population and learn about its habits and traditions. You will not only taste your way through the city, but you will also learn of the town history and culture.

Have the chance to try some of the best-prepared food in Nice, strictly selected by locals, while walking in one of the most beautiful areas of the Old Town. Begin with an olive oil degustation, taste different kinds of olive oil from artisanal production, learning about the method of production and the difference between young and strong as you discover all products made with olives from Nice.

Socca is a special and savory pancake made with chickpea flour. Crispy outside and soft inside, the Socca is an essential of Nice street food. Pissaladiere, a tasty onion tart made with a kind of pizza paste, traditionally cooked in a wood oven and topped with olives and anchovies is a classic dish that can be tasted as street food, for a snack, or paired with a glass of Provence wine for aperitif.

Sip some typical Provence wine with some French charcuterie, for a delicious Provencal aperitif! Provence, the very first wine region in France, will deliver its history in a wine glass from the area.
