Upon pickup from your cruise port, your English-speaking guide and you will visit a local rum factory where you will learn about the century-old tradition of creating flavored rum by using tropical fruits, spices, and other exotic aromatics. After learning the tricks of the trade, you will be taken on a guided tour of the distillery; of course, you will have the opportunity to sample several of the rum varieties. Any purchases of this fantastic rum will be at your own expense.

You will then head off to Marigot, the Capitol of the European Country of French St. Martin. Originally a fishing village, Marigot was declared the Capitol by King Louis XVI in the late 1700s. Marigot is an appealing spot with brightly colored houses, a scattering of restaurants, and lively produce and crafts markets. During your time in Marigot, you can visit old Fort Louis (built by locals in 1789 overlooking Marigot Bay and the island of Anguilla), dine, shop, explore the fresh market and quaint museums, and galleries. All are within short walking distance from one another.

Should the border to Marigot be closed, off to explore the tourist area of Maho! Maho Beach is a popular attraction for fans of aviation as you will experience commercial airplanes flying just feet overhead as they land on the runway feet behind you; very exhilarating to say the least.

As your trip comes to an end, you will be escorted back to your cruise ship port with some truly unforgettable memories. Costs of the tour include transportation, an English-speaking guide, and entrance and tasting fees to the local rum factory.

Please Note: Must be drinking age to participate in rum tour. The purchase of food and beverages beyond the tasting is at your own expense. Should the International boarder to the French side be closed, French side stop will be replaced with the Maho beach stop.
