Recommended Dress We recommend wearing your swimsuit under comfortable clothing and sensible walking shoes. A towel, sunglasses, and sunscreen (biodegradable preferred) are also suggested.
Restrictions The minimum age to participate is 6 years old. No previous surfing experience is required; however, participants must be able to swim and feel comfortable entering the ocean. Guests should be in good physical condition and comfortable with ocean-based activities. This excursion is not recommended for wheelchair users or guests with significant mobility limitations, recent surgeries, or serious back, shoulder, hip, knee, or ankle conditions that could be aggravated by surfing or other physical activity in the ocean. Guests with heart conditions and pregnant guests are not permitted to participate.

Guests under 18 must be accompanied by an adult, either as a participating guest or a registered observer, who can sign the required waiver. Guests who appear to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs will not be permitted to participate.

Registered observers do not participate in the surfing lesson or use the surfing equipment. Their experience includes transportation, beach setup, and lunch.

Meet at Plaza Gali, located within easy walking distance of the Cabo San Lucas cruise tender terminal, and begin your journey toward Cerritos Beach. The drive takes approximately 1 to 1.5 hours each way, offering scenic views of Baja's desert landscape, mountains, and Pacific coastline along the route.

Once you arrive at Cerritos Beach, meet your bilingual instructors and prepare for your surfing experience. Approximately 20 minutes are dedicated to equipment fitting and an introductory beach session covering ocean awareness, water safety, paddling, balance, board positioning, selecting waves, and proper pop-up technique.

Then take your skills into the Pacific for approximately 1 hour and 40 minutes of supervised surfing and hands-on instruction. Your instructors will adjust the lesson according to your abilities and the day's ocean conditions, making the experience appropriate for first-time surfers, beginners, and intermediate participants. Including the initial beach instruction, you will have approximately two hours dedicated to surfing instruction and time in the water. Surfboards, rash guards, and all required surfing equipment are provided.

Between activities, beach chairs and umbrellas are available for both surfing participants and registered observers. Following your surf lesson, enjoy approximately 30 minutes of lunch featuring a selection of Baja favorites, including tacos, Mexican rice, refried beans, guacamole, tortilla chips, salsa, and one non-alcoholic drink. The included lunch is available to both participants and registered observers.

After lunch, settle in for the return drive of approximately 1 to 1.5 hours to Plaza Gali, bringing your shore excursion to an end. The experience includes transportation from and back to Plaza Gali, equipment preparation, beach instruction, approximately two hours of surfing instruction and water activities, lunch, and time needed for transitions between activities.
