Puerto Vallarta is a curious mix of ancient culture and modern life. Your knowledgeable guide will take you on a journey from the local marina, where luxurious yachts anchor. No visit is complete without a tour of downtown Puerto Vallarta, where you will visit one of the most famous icons of the city, The Church of the Virgin of Guadalupe, located right in the middle of cobblestone streets and old adobe houses with their red tile roofs.
In downtown Puerto Vallarta, explore the main plaza, the Mercado, and Malecon, where you will have an opportunity to take photos of the amazing sculptures, street artists, and a beautiful view of the ocean and the bay of Puerto Vallarta. Take a look at the craftsmanship of local artisans, from glass sculptures to talavera. You will discover all of what Mexican artisans have to offer, and why they are considered among the best artisans worldwide.
Mexico is famous for its silver, and you will have a chance to see and learn about it at your next stop. You will visit a silver store that has its own workshop, where you will learn about the silver artistic works, and opals that are found only in Africa and Mexico. Time for shopping is included.
Arrive at Nogalito Eco Park, nestled in the Sierra Madre tropical forest. In this beautiful natural environment, a tequila expert will take you on a journey to discover the artisanal process of making tequila. You will have the opportunity to taste the best and exclusive Tequila blanco, reposado, and anejo. Additionally you can try some of the exotic tequila liquor flavors, including coffee, vanilla, pomegranate, and guava, and purchase some if you wish.
You will then have free time to take pictures and to enjoy a delicious Mexican lunch prepared by regional top chefs. Feel the connection to nature at this spectacular tropical forest, relax on a hammock, walk around the river, take a dive in a natural pool, or just relax and watch the birds and local fauna while sipping a cold, refreshing drink. Remember to say hello to Tequila, the beautiful resident macaw at Nogalito, and she will answer back!
Your tour ends with a ride back into town.
The tour and our guide was wonderful! The tequila talk was so interesting, entertaining, and tasty along with our lunch. Our ship docked at Pier 17 at about the time our tour was to begin at Pier 11, so we thought we weren't going to make it. We rushed off the ship, found the tour and actually they waited for the rest. Only improvement would be to meet at ship side.

Always like to take a tour of new cities. this one was good but not great. We stopped at several places that weren't necessary like 30 minutes at a candy factory. Leather shop stop was overrated and too expensive. Our stop at the church was wasted as we weren't allowed to go inside. Lunch on the Eco-Ranch was great and well worthwhile. They make great tequila too.
This is a must for tequila tasting. So good! First you see lots of highlights of this great place, then you get to have a fun lunch up on a mountain. The views were great and lots of photo ops. Then to top it all a tequila tasting, "blue Agave" tequila. Yummy!! Juan Pablo, our guide was great. He loves Mexico and proud of his country, so we ended up loving it too!

Very interesting tour of old town. I visited there 40 years ago. It really grew up from what I remember. We visited a Taqela factory and outdoor restaurant that was really a highlight for us. On the downside I lost my new iPhone on the bus at the end of our tour. But to my delight the bus company found it and returned it to me a week after we returned home from our cruise. Kudos to Gray Lines Bus Tours. Thank you again for the great service.
