You'll see the underwater world in a whole new perspective during your visit to Coral World on this St. Thomas excursion. The park is designed so that all members of the family can observe the treasures of the undersea world up close.
After being picked up on the pier, you will have a direct transfer to the park, where you'll be given a map of the park. During your three hours of free time on this St. Thomas excursion, explore the numerous exhibits which include:
The Undersea Observatory Tower - The only one of its kind in the Caribbean, where you can go 15 feet below the water's surface to see marine life in the wild.
The Caribbean Reef Encounter - An 80,000 gallon coral reef aquarium, home to an amazing array of local corals, sponges, fish, sea anemones, lobsters, conchs, stingrays and other marine creatures.
Marine Gardens - A gallery of 21 jewel tanks that provides intimate and stunning views of hundreds of marine species in their unique habitats.
Shark Shallows - A large pool that's home to the juvenile sharks. View a variety of sharks from above and below which may include nurse, lemon, blacktip and reef sharks.
Stingray Lagoon - Home to southern stingrays that like to bury themselves in the sand when they're not gliding around the pool.
Turtle Pool - Home to rescued green sea turtle hatchlings that are now permanent residents. Coral World also serves as a rehabilitation center for sick or injured turtles.
Critter Corners - An up-close look at other animals that live outside the water in the Caribbean. A walk-through aviary, habitats and a nature trail are home to parrots, iguana, ducks and tortoises, as well as native plants and trees.
Upon arrival, don't forget to check on the feeding times and presentations for that day. Your transfer back to the pier will depart from where you were dropped off.

Fabulous! This was a wonderful outing to a nature park where we saw small sharks being fed, an informative talk with a trainer and their sea lion, stingrays we were able to feed under the watchful eye of a park expert, iguanas roaming around, and an underwater observatory that was amazing. This was a relaxed and great experience.

My wife and I were picked up at a convenient location off the cruise pier. After a 20 minute drive we arrived at Coral world. Crowd was light. The guides did 15 minute presentations at their various exhibits and were very informative and enthusiastic. Overall a up close opportunity to see and learn about aquatic life in their (close to) natural habitat.
This venue went out of its way to open for us on New Year's Day. With only two cruise ships in port, it appeared they opened for us and not for the locals as there was no crowding and ease of access no matter what exhibit you chose to engage. The undersea viewing of the coral and fish life was over the top. The additional presentations which included birds, turtles, sting rays, various aquariums displays, and a seal show were interest captivating. Iguanas were everywhere. Although we did not eat there, food was available. One cannot say enough about the enthusiastic, young, and knowledgeable staff. Catch them when they are feeding the residents; a printed schedule does assist. Some have mentioned a bit dated appearance in some areas which is true, but the environment was clean and the displays presentable.
