Discover Flam

Embark on a captivating expedition through Flam, Norway, nestled within the majestic Aurlandsfjord, an extension of the esteemed Sognefjord. This region boasts rich archaeological treasures, mesmerizing fjord panoramas, and Viking burial grounds.

Your adventure takes you up a serpentine mountain path to the protruding Stegastein Viewpoint, an elevated platform where you'll witness some of Norway's most spectacular fjord vistas. Surprisingly, even the public restroom offers a remarkable view!

As we journey onward, we'll traverse unique terrains, including a desolate mountain adorned with frost and snow. The rare power line amidst this pristine landscape subtly signifies human touch in this vast expanse. Flam takes pride in its historic timber structures, with many harking back to the 18th and 19th centuries. Although a 2014 fire razed 30 edifices, over 100 incredibly remain.

See the Borgund Stave Church, Norway's most iconic and impeccably preserved medieval wooden sanctuary. Dating back to 1180, this structure showcases detailed craftsmanship that merges Viking and Christian styles, representing an intriguing cultural crossroads. During the visit here, you'll have 15 minutes to admire the exterior of the church and the adjacent museum.

To facilitate unhindered travel, especially in snowy conditions, Norway utilizes tunnels. The Laerdal tunnel, the world's longest roadway tunnel, ensures consistent and secure commuting, shielding you from avalanches.

Upon our return to Flam, you'll have ample time to explore the charming village at your own pace. Secure your spot today for an immersive adventure that blends breathtaking fjords, rich heritage, and impressive modern infrastructure.
