This Fiji tour takes you along the Sabeto River to Navilawa Village and Koroyanitu National Park.
Your journey begins at the base of Nadi's famous Mt. Batilamu, also known as Sleeping Giant. Ride north in air conditioned comfort through the beautiful Sabeto Valley and watch your view change as the road turns into a winding course along the scenic Sabeto River. Enter Koroyanitu National Park and make your way to the tranquil village of Navilawa. Upon your arrival you will be greeted with a Sevusevu, or Kava ceremony. Join the villagers in preparing and cooking food such as root crops, seasonal vegetables and leaves in coconut milk, then sit down together to share an authentic Fijian food tasting. Once you have had your fill you will be able to take a brief guided walk through a rainforest trail that ends at a natural cave. This cave is used by villagers seeking shelter during cyclones. While there, enjoy a refreshing dip in the nearby pool. Alternatively, you can take a guided tour of the village and its gardens.
Don't miss out on this unique opportunity to see Koroyanitu National Park and spend time with the Navilawa locals. Reserve your spot now.
One of the best excursions ever. There were only 4 in our group, always a plus, instead of large coach. Our guide took us up to a tiny village, no electricity, water piped down from the mountain. He educated us on the life and customs of the islanders. We participated in a Kava ceremony to be welcomed into the village. It was amazing!

Our guide, Linga, was excellent. The villagers couldn't have been more welcoming. It was very special to attend church services as it was Good Friday. I will never forget the beautiful singing of the congregation. Food was excellent and plentiful. Will never forget our intimate visit to Fiji! (Only negative would be that due to a no-show couple we waited an hour and a half. They did not cut the trip short but would be nice if there were some way to contact people who don't show up so everyone doesn't have to wait).

This was a wonderful tour. We really felt welcomed and pampered. And we learned so much about their culture and traditions. I would recommend this tour for anyone who wants something "off the beaten path." We didn't walk to the cave - maybe because it was so hot that day.
The village we visited was so friendly. Magic Mike took care of us and we had a wonderful time just visiting and tasting the foods and drink of Fiji.
