You and your private guide will depart from the small port of Skala to the village of Oia with its iconic whitewashed buildings, shops, cafes, art galleries and Santorini's famous blue-domed churches. Stroll along its narrow, cobbled lanes and grab amazing photos of the caldera and surrounding islands.

From there you will make your way to center of the island to visit Pyrgos, formerly the capital of Santorini up to the 19th century. Tucked away from mainstream tourism, this peaceful city offers you multicolored houses, numerous churches and a charming fortified castle. Make your way to a local winery where you will sample world-class wines including Assyrtiko, Vedema and Vinsanto. Then it's on to a traditional restaurant to dine on Greek fare including stuffed vine leaves, saganaki fried cheese, Greek salad with feta and olives, meat and rice or potatoes. Finish your meal with traditional pastries including baklava or yogurt with honey.

Journey on to Panagia Episkopi Church, a 12th century cathedral filled with an impressive number of byzantine icons, as well as the remnants of frescoes depicting various saints, martyrs and biblical scenes. Continue from here to Kamari Beach with its elegant hotels and a street full of boutiques, quaint coffee cafes and pastry shops.

In the capital city of Fira you will be treated to the Frankish Quarter with its spectacular views of Santorini and 360 degree views of the volcano. From there you will take a short bus drive to Athinios port to catch a private tender across the famous caldera of Santorini, avoiding the huge lines at the cable car station.
