Private Pisa and Cinque Terre

Embark on an enlightening journey with a picturesque 90-minute drive from the Port of Livorno to the enchanting Cinque Terre National Park. Depending on the day's weather, your introduction to the park's quintessential charm will be either in Riomaggiore or Manarola. These charming villages provide a vibrant display of colors and offer quintessential coastal experiences in Italy.

Riomaggiore is the Cinque Terre's most southern village, with ridge-terraced, stone homes overlooking the sea and painting a picture of colorful racades and slate roofs. Via Colombo, the main street, descends to the sea, leading to a small harbor with brightly colored fishing boats and a pebble beach.

Perched on a rocky promontory above the sea, Manarola features multicolored homes facing the glistening sea. Enjoy some time at one of the fish restaurants in the small square, observing people leaping off cliffs into the deep waters.

Following the atmospheric exploration of Riomaggiore or Manarola, travel to the picturesque Vernazza by ferryboat or train, depending on the weather. Founded around 1000 AD, the typical Cinque Terre fishing village is a maze of quaint streets and stunning views that provide a perfect backdrop for discovery and exploration. Best admired from the sea, the port is surrounded by colorful Ligurian houses, with steeply terraced olive groves producing some of Italy's finest olive oil.

The tour's highlight is a visit to Monterosso al Mare, the last of the villages on your path and the largest of the five coastal villages that comprise the Cinque Terre. Monterosso invites you to savor a leisurely lunch, explore artisanal goods, or dip into the azure waters when the warm summer sun casts its glow.

The return to Livorno includes a memorable stop in Pisa, providing the opportunity to witness the architectural wonder of the Leaning Tower.
