A short drive takes us to the enchanting snorkeling spot of Magic Island. As you walk down the gravelly, rocky shore into the crystal-clear waters, our knowledgeable and safety-oriented guides will brief you on the adventure ahead. They'll be with you every stroke of the way to ensure your safety.

Once in the water, our guides will lead you on an unforgettable snorkeling journey around the island, pointing out the rich marine wildlife and underwater wonders that make this area a snorkeler's paradise. You can expect at least 60 minutes of snorkeling time, and potentially more depending on how quickly everyone gets suited up.

Because the town of Sitka is located on the Outer Coast, you will be able to see a wide diversity of marine life such as colorful rockfish, sand dollars, sea stars, needlefish, and even Giant Pacific Octopi. The shoreline and surrounding area attracts many animals including bald eagles, sea lions, sea otters, harbor seals — even the occasional humpback whale.

After your snorkeling adventure, we'll head back to the snorkel shop. Here, you can change out of your wetsuits and warm up with complimentary hot chocolate, coffee, and tea – the perfect end to your exhilarating excursion.
