After meeting your driver and small group at the pier, you will travel along the coast, passing the quaint town of Falmouth on your way to Braco Stables, approximately 45 minutes away.
Braco Great House was built in the mid 18th century and served as a successful sugar plantation and refinery. The original building still stands and currently houses a pimento leaf oil factory. Oil is extracted from the leaves through a condensation process. This oil is exported and used in the preservation of meat and also as a base for many perfumes.
Trail Masters will pair you with a horse to match your riding ability, and then you are off, weaving your way through the countryside, passing through the Braco estate as well as seeing smaller estates along the way. The trail ride meanders down to the north coast shoreline and takes you to a private and beautiful beach area. Here guests are given the opportunity to swim bareback and frolic with the horse in the magnificent Caribbean Sea. The sea is crystal clear and white sands allow for great swimming and picture taking opportunities. Total time with the horses is approximately two hours, with 30 minutes of it at the beach.
The ride concludes by the gardens brimming with pimento trees, bougainvillea and fishtail palms. Lounge with a cool drink from the gazebo and spy on the hummingbirds gossiping with the orchids. Come sample our hospitality and the beauty of Trelawny, Jamaica!
From here, you will drive to the river where your water adventure begins with a short walk through the rain forest to meet your guide at the starting point. After receiving some general instructions from your guides, it's time to jump in your tube and begin your exciting river adventure.
A mix of currents carry you downstream as you sit back and admire the natural surroundings of the river valley before feeling the rush of the splashing rapids. The course takes you over a variety of class 2 river rapids, each followed by a calm section to chill out and lounge in your tube. There is a stop along the way for a chance to swim in the water and try out the Tarzan rope swing, a popular activity for everyone to enjoy.
As the river begins to slow down, you enter the warm waters of the Caribbean Sea. From there you are pulled by boat (weather permitting) until landing ashore on a beautiful private beach. At the beach you can purchase a refreshing drink, take a dip in the sea, and view some of the amazing photographs taken by our professional photographer. The float usually takes between 45 to 55 minutes depending on the current and how much time is taken at the midway stop. Your driver will safe guard your belongings during the trip and will meet you at the end of the river.
Returning to the Montego Bay area, you will have a driving orientation along the "hip strip" of Montego Bay which is the most popular area with visitors.

Loved our driver, both guides and excursion. I'm not sure the tow in the raft up the river to the place we met our driver was 'Carnival approved'....but we enjoyed it very much!!!
