White Pass Summit Train and City Tour

Loved this excursion. Our guide for the city tour was knowledgeable and seemed to love sharing information about the city and places we were seeing on the tour. The train ride scenery was spectacular!

What strikes you almost at once is how anyone could possibly have built a railway in this terrain. It is everything one could imagine but the remoteness of the line is what hits you first. Well that and the truly awesome beauty of the surroundings. The train claws its way ever upward on the outbound trip (and, of course, downward on the return leg) passing such scenic splendor that is quite literally breathtaking. And I don't use that word casually. It is magnificent and the running commentary by the trip host adds to the magic of the place. Stories of the Yukon gold rush and the almost improbable construction of this railway fit in well with the journey. And let me not forget to mention the city tour that preceded the rail journey. Well done! Both the city and rail tour were informative and really quite fun. Highly recommended!

The train was very comfortable. Easy to photograph from. The picture opportunities were endless. The beauty was breathtaking. Excellent tour!

The small tour was perfect. The van conversion bus was comfortable. The guide was easy to understand, knowledgeable, and funny. The train ride was stunning with views that made you want to ride the rails for hours. Each train car had a heater and bathroom and was very comfortable.

The excursion included a regional small bus tour before the train ride. Off course the train ride was fantastic, but the tour & our guide presented a lot of great details and insight into Skagway of today and yesteryear - A great combination that we could not have gotten anywhere else! I highly recommend this combination.

There was four of us that booked the White Pass Summit Train and City Tour. This excursion was excellent, the people were very friendly and the train was very clean. We lucked out with the weather it was very sunny, warm and clear visibility on the whole train ride. I will tell everyone going to Skagway not to miss this excursion.

This is a must experience visiting skagway. It was breathtaking view along the train ride and good length. Highly recommend!

We had an enjoyable time aboard the White Pass Summit Train ride. The views were breathtaking. The narrators during the ride were very informative. I would recommend this activity.

We really enjoyed this trip traveling through the beautiful rainforest. The staff was great and answered all our questions as we came to understand the hardships the miners endured on their way to the Klondike to find their fortunes during the Gold Rush. Highly recommended!

The White Pass Summit was a great way to see Skagway. We thoroughly enjoyed the city tour and the train ride. Anne Early was our guide for the city tour portion of the excursion. We appreciated her knowledge of the history of Skagway and her wonderful sense of humor. The scenery viewed from the train was breathtakingly beautiful. I’m glad we chose this excursion.

We absolutely loved the cute little city tour and the train ride was one of our favorite parts of this vacation! I highly recommend it. We enjoyed hearing about the history and antidotes of this rail road and town. Don't forget your camera, because the views are truly breathtaking.
