Best 4th of July ever!

We did this on the 4th of July and from the ferry ride over to the small ride to the gorgeous lake then the kayak it is the most fun I have ever had on the 4th. We had 3 people in our party so it felt like we were on our own private tour. The waterfalls and scenery are breathtaking. On the way back to the ferry we stopped at the small shop, met the owner and bought some swag so we will always remember this wonderful excursion. Another bonus is the 40 min ferry ride there is a guide gives a history about the area and you have a chance to see additional wildlife.

Beautiful location, excellent guide

Our guide and tour operator Joe was fantastic. He’s been doing these tours for 14 years and is highly knowledgeable about the local flora and faun.
The lake is an idyllic and picturesque location for kayaking. Surrounded by mountains and teeming with salmon, it’s possible you may see a bear (we didn’t), but we did see eagles.
This is an opportunity not to miss during your time in Alaska.
