Two Tank Local Scuba Diving Trip

Two of us went on the tour, only one could participate. Tour was nice and dive master was good. Saw lots of fish.

Gala and Lucy are both awesome dive masters. This is a professionally run shop, with a team that bends over backwards to give you a great (and safe) experience. Dive in. You won’t regret it.

The shore excursion was excellent in all ways. The folks at Mar Adentro Dive Center, especially my dive guide Lucia, were exceptionally friendly and helpful. Safety was taken seriously and the dives were wonderful. Lucia is an excellent guide. I was especially impressed that they took me diving, even though I was the only diver. I highly recommend this excursion.

We really enjoyed our dives with this excursion. While the dive shop and operation is "rustic", the dive master was excellent as well as the shop staff. Our Dive Master pointed out that they had a coral bloom the night before so the reef was heavily populated of beautiful fish! We took the later dive time offered and did have a smaller group so the service was very personalized. Definitely will do this one again!

$4 taxi each way from ship. Not a very fancy shop, but the staff was friendly and helpful. I had an ear blockage and they took all the time needed to help me through it. I would definitely use them again.

We were picked up and driven to the site by a very nice gal. During the dive the dive master did not pay attention to detail at all. We were thankful that we were advanced divers, but it would have been nice if she had gone out of her way to show us some things.

Stopped at Costa Maya and I wanted to beable to get a couple of dives in. With the time in port, it was best to use the excursion through this site. The dive shop was fine and the dive master that lead the dive was excellent. In fact, I told her after the dive that she was among the best dive masters I’ve ever dove with as far as pace and in making sure our group didn’t miss any of the underwater sites/creatures. Many times, it seems like the person leading the dive thinks the more ground that we cover, the better the dive but that couldn’t be further from the truth. So it was really, really nice to have a leader that knew how to get the most out of both dives.

We had the most amazing people helping us along on our dive. They were professional, knowledgeable, and confident. I would do this again in a heartbeat.

Turned out I was the only one from our ship to have booked this dive excursion. Carlos and his team at the shop provided me top notch equipment, a safe & fun environment and two awesome dives. Though the seas were running 2 - 3' that day, it still wasn't too rough for the boat. Getting back onboard was actually easier than many other boats I've dove from elsewhere. The rocks and corals were beautiful, the marine life plentiful and even though we didn't see any of the larger marine life, it still was spectacular diving with great visibility in warm Caribbean waters. If and when I return to Costa Maya, I will definitely book this scuba diving excursion again!

I was able to do this dive with my two grown sons in Roatan while on a Norwegian cruise. The taxi pick up was right outside the port gate and very easy. The dive company arranged it so we paid $20 per person in advance and all went smoothly. The dive company, location, boat, scuba equipment and guides were all top notch. The dive master was so accommodating with three divers at different levels. I had not dove in 10 years, my 21-year old son was newly certified and my oldest son is a more experienced diver. We were all happy with the dives and saw lots of fish and two large turtles. We had no trouble getting back to the ship on time. I would highly recommend this shore excursion.

The tour operator is excellent. The dive shop does not look like much but these guys are excellent. Truly professional and safety oriented team. A please to dive with them. The canyons are great and lots of sea life to see. Highly recommended!

Friendly and courteous staff. Great customer service, catering to our group needs and led us on 2 outstanding local dives. Equipment was well maintainedand in good working order. Great experience!

Mar Adentro is a no frills, but safe operation and the dive guide was very good. They do not provide bottled water or snacks. I rented BCD & Reg and the equipment was in great condition. The reef was not so great, though. Visability was very low and there was just not that much sea life. Very disappointed in the marine life but would highly recommend this dive shop.
