Jungle Jeep Adventure to Mayan Caverns and Snorkel

This proved to be a fantastic excursion for the 4 of us while on our Panama Canal Cruise. We picked this tour because my husband loves tours where he can drive. Catalina, our guide was fantastic. She is very friendly and knowledgeable about where you will be going and what you will see. We stopped at several places and saw parts of Cozumel that we have never seen before, after many visits while on cruise ships. Our stop at the Tequila factory, Hasiendas Las Iguanas, was very instructive and informative even though non of us drink! We also stopped at a beach area and the Caverns and Cenote. Our final stop for snorkeling was great too. We snorkeled close to shore and had a great time, but could have got an escorted snorkel further out as part of the tour. Emily, the photographer even swam with us and took underwater photos! My only caution: be prepared for mosquitos! take bug spray and your sunscreen! This will be a tour we, and our friends, will always remember.

Nice smaller group driving with 4 jeeps through the jungle to walk in two dry caves with multiple caverns, stone carvings and bats! Stated off with a lesson and tasting of local tequilas. That was definitely worth it, only in non US countries do you start by “drinking”, but really tasting, then stopping by the healing pool where and ended at a beachside resort for snorkeling. Fantastic!

We brought our son and his 6-yr-old son with us on this Jungle Jeep Adventure. The caverns were amazing and little Eli really enjoyed snorkeling. We recommend this for everyone....couples, families, groups, etc.

What an amazing group of guides, clearly dedicated to having an awesome time and are extremely knowledgeable and friendly. We all had a blast !! Snorkeling was definitely the highlight !!!!

I enjoy every moment in this trip. They drove very safe and the cruise director explained everything to us. He was very helpful, gentle, and professional. Buy the Tequila bottle. It taste amazing. 10/10 recommendations

excellent guide and attractions

This excursion was the best experience. It made our time in Cozumel worth wild. It was amazing to see the city and learn so much history.

Jerry was a great guide, kept everyone together, communicated what we where doing & where we were stopping. Very interesting & beautiful area.

Our group had rented 3 jeeps and had the BEST time ever!! Our 2 tour guides were amazing and took excellent care of us all! We first stopped by and snorkeled at a secluded resort area, where they had water activities, food , drinks and shopping. Then we stopped by and did the tequila tasting, which was also amazing and delicious! After that we went to the cenote and jumped in and had drinks at the bar there. We also stopped by in a small village where we walked around, shopped and visited the fertility ruin and learned more about the history behind it, was an amazing experience all together! Our youngest was 3 and our oldest was 12 and we all had a lot of fun!! Highly recommend!

We jeeped into the jungle to Jade Caverns. Our guide, Carlos, made the trip more awesome! He was knowledgable about the area and took us to some cool places. Not only did we get to see the Jade Caverns and snorkel we went tequila tasting and had an opportunity to shop at a coral shop. Snorkeling was so fun!!

Our family of 6 had a great time! The jeeps so a bit of wear but they are jeeps. The stops were fun: caverns, tequila tasting and beach. The beach restaurant was pretty good but the water obstacles games were fun.

Youseff was a great guide! We had a fun time snorkeling and tasting tequilas! The Jeep was definitely needed for the ride to the cenote! It was a nice experience to get off “the beaten path”.

Get to drive a Jeep! Had a nice time, jade caverns watch out for bats, nice day, had enough time to take a taxi to downtown Cozumel did a little or a lot of shopping.

The tour was absolutely amazing with all of the featured stops excelling in their quality. The Tequila tasting was great, swimming in the cenote was cool and refreshing, especially for those who took the plunge, and the stops at the church, Mayan ruins and snorkelling were all worthwhile. Our guide was friendly and very knowledgeable and driving the jeep was such a blast. A great trip!

The ride in the Jeep was wonderful! The jeeps are full size which was a surprise and very comfortable. The weather did not cooperate so the snorkeling was canceled. The guide was very knowledgeable and friendly.

Youseff was our tour guide and we had a fabulous day. Cenote was fun. Mayan culture talk at the temple was very informative and so interesting to hear the culture. Our tour guide took a bit of scenic route so we could see some beautiful ocean beaches. Extra step we appreciated. We ended the day a great beach bar/restaurant. Service was awesome. Staff was so fun and friendly. You could snorkel and swim of you wanted. We just hung out and ate and drank and swung on the bar swings, beautiful beach! We could watch the pretty fish from the dock right there. Was comfortable day, safe, well attended to. Road was bumpy to Cenote, but took it easy for us. Was great experience, highly recommend tour for the day.

I went on this excursion alone… but was placed with a great group of 3 in our jeep!! Our tour a guide Katalina was amazing!! Very knowledgeable and fun!! The tour was packed full of FUN ! The Cenonte swimming was the highlight, and the tequila tasting was great!! Don’t miss out on the Coconut one! It was an awesome tour from start to finish!!

A very enjoyable trip, very informative, lovely friendly lady, who was able to answer any questions quickly and easily. Definitely worth doing this trip.

Three of us took turns driving a jeep over rough terrain to a jungle sink hole where we swam before heading to a lovely beach where we had lunch and snorkeled among beautiful tropical fish. Julio Cesar was an excellent guide, with good historical and topographical knowledge and an ability to guide novice off-roaders.

Tour was a really good time. There was10 people that book this tour. My wife and I were by ourselves. I reserved a manual jeep so my wife and I got to ride together by our selves. Roads were very rough, nothing that is too bad. Katy was a really good tour guide. The Tequilatasting was good. The snorkeling was pretty good as well. You go to a resort for the snorkeling. They have limited areas where you can go.

The website allowed me to select a 10:30am tour. However, at the meeting point we found out that there was no such tour at that time. So they booked us for the next tour at noon. The jeep that we were assigned was in great condition and had A/C. But another group got an open air jeep which in Mexico, is a bit unbearable in the summer. The tour itself was quite good. We stopped at a Cenote where everyone had an opportunity to jump into the water. Forewarning - the water is not clear and smelled of sulfur. There were harmless bats flying in the cave where the cenote was. The next stop was at a Tequila Tasting in a remote part. Then, we had a short stop to see some ruins. Not a lot to see but still interesting. Last stop was the snorkel stop at the Tortuga Beach and Restaurant. The restaurant food was great. Snorkeling gear is included. Snorkeling is right off the beach. Overall, we really enjoyed this tour. The tour guide was really great and knowledgeable.

Julio was our guide and because we were the only ones booked for our time slot, he drove us as a private tour. We didn't want to wait for an automatic shift to return from the earlier tour. The tequila tasting was way into the jungle and the "road" was so rocky it was unbelievable. We loved the tequila and bought 2 bottles. Then he took us to Jade Caverns. Again, it was off road and we hiked a little ways to get to the cavern. He showed us the fossils, stalactites, stalagmites, and bats; he told us a lot about the geological history and how the Mayans used the caverns. After we visited the cenote, he took us to the snorkeling park. We had the fish tacos and octopus dinner then enjoyed the beach and snorkeling. Everything was at our pace. The jeep was a stereotypical Mexican rattletrap, but it was authentic and on those paths it was appropriate. It just added to the adventure for us. Ask for a private tour with Julio!

It was a lot fun

We had really good tour guides and they were very informative. The water was too rough that day so we didn't snorkel, but they used that time by driving more around the Island and did a beach stop. It was a relaxing day.

KATY our tour person she was very informitive friendly and helpful. There was 10 in our group and we were all satisfied. we had so much fun. Tequila tasting is a must. Hasy she was very good on teaching us how tequila is made and where it comes from. She also told us that the tequila does not give hangovers. She was right. We walked out of there with 6 bottles and one was free.We wanted to buy the Pina Colada and the others sweet ones but they were over priceIf you do buy a bottle make sure you save your receipt. When I got home I noticed they over charged me 34 dollars The only thing we did not like was the food. It was over price and not very good. I did mention that to Katy.

I purchased this excursion for my husband's birthday. We were a little hesitant, this was our first time to Cozumel, but we had an absolute blast! My husband got to drive the jeep all over the island, which he loved. The jade cavern was super cool to see. We really enjoyed the tequila tasting - our tequila guide was very knowledgeable and absolutely hilarious. The tequila was so good we brought a bottle home with us. The snorkeling was the best part about the tour - we held a sea urchin, spider crab, starfish (all of which were returned to where they were found), saw a spotted ray, and a myriad of tropical fish. Our guide Cati (Catalina) made the excursion! She told us all about the Mayan culture, including some of the lesser known things, as well as the local culture. Cati was hilarious and never made us feel rushed during the tour. We're going to go back to Cozumel and book a private island tour with her, she was so amazing!

what fun! caverns, snorkeling, food, loved getting a massage right on the beach under the palm trees. Great shopping district too!

This excursion was great and so was our tour guide Arturo. He went out of his way to make sure we were all having an awesome time. He gave us a lot of information about the area and also gave us his personal I formation for future trips to Cozumel. The Jeep ride was great and the snorkeling was beautiful. Highly recommend this excursion!

This group made the day so enjoyable as they were both personable and knowledgeable. The sites and activities were interesting and fun, but the people made the difference. Nerves or anxiousness are natural when setting foot in a different country, but we felt safe and welcome as a result of this excursion. Highly recommend it!

The jungle keep trip was awesome. We had two Jeep's for the trip and my 2 sons drove and absolutely had a blast. A lot of twists and turns and bouncing around added to the fun. My 2 granddaughters and grandson loved it as well. My son's and grandkids jumped off the cliff into the large, very deep cavern water-hole. A thrill they will never forget. We really enjoyed the trip to the Tequila tasting demonstration and because of the windy weather we all swam in the Gulf instead of snorkeled. The kids had a blast and didn't miss the snorkeling. Our 2 guides were great and very knowledgeable. It was a really good value and we are super Happy we booked this excursion.

We did this excursion as a family of 5, with our kids ages 10, 9, and 4. It was loved by us all. Juan was a great tour guide sure to give us an entire day of fun, with enough time to appreciate each stop! My husband was in heaven Jeepin' through the jungle. This was a thrill, yet never too much for any of the kids. You can go at your own pace, so if you rather go slower, just ask to be at the back of the pack, which there were only 3 jeeps in our group (loved the group size too). The ocean was too rough to snorkel so Juan planed several beach stops that were incredible, with fresh chips and salsa on him at one beach front hut! Juan shared about the island, and was very approachable for questions. Cozumel is beautiful and we appreciated experiencing so much of what the island had to offer in one excursion.

We had a terrific day with our tour guide!! Swimming against the current was tough but it was beautiful and I saw a lot of fish I never saw on previous snorkels. The cenote was amazing and I loved all the bats. Spent over $100 at the tequila stop, so I’d say we enjoyed that, too! Would definitely recommend your company to my friends!

We had an adventure at every port including cave tubing in Belize, snorkeling in the keys, Mayan ruins etc. but this one was everyone’s favorite. It had the best tour guide we have ever had named Arturo! We got to do so much for the price and would do another excursion with him in a heartbeat!

Julio and Miguel did a great job! After getting our Jeeps, our first stop was the Mayan village of El Cedral, the site of the tequila tasting, which was delicious! Then back on the road to Jade Caverns. This is where the paved road ended and we got to go off-roading - lots of fun! The Caverns come complete with stalactites and even bats! Our last stop was a beach resort - another unexpected highlight. The food was good, and the beach offered snorkeling and comfortable lounging. All in all, a chance to experience lots of different aspects of Cozumel in a way that's a lot more fun than filing onto a tour bus. Note: most of the Jeeps are now automatic hard tops with A/C. Apparently, people complained that the manual Jeeps were too old, so they upgraded the fleet. We were happy to get one of the old manuals, which was an absolute blast to drive and gave the tour a more rugged, authentic feel - in our opinion, anyway, though others may appreciate the AC. Definitely recommend!
