Spent an enjoyable day at El Cid while in port on a cruise ship. Thoroughly enjoyed the service, food, drink, snorkeling and pool, as well as the outdoor chess and ping pong table. The facility had lots of beach loungers and shade too, for those of us who are not sun worshippers.

Relaxing Day

This resort was within walking distance of the pier which was great. Note that the actual walk-in beach portion is really small but it wasn't crowded when we went and our kids enjoyed playing in the sand there. Most of the beach chairs at this resort are by a sea wall and not a walk-in beach. The food we tried there was good and the drinks were great.

the resort was nice with lots to do very short walk from the ship you don't need to take a taxi like they say the food was just ok and there's no sand beach that's whey it got 4 stars

you can walk there from the ship.. Very clean, nice buffet lunch, 2 hours of snorkel gear and unlimited drinks.. Cool hammocks in the water for relaxing.. Really enjoyed the day

This was the best deal ever! It was a lovely resort, good food and a great time. It was so easy to get to the resort from the ship - just about a 10 min walk so no taxi needed! So much more fun that the crowed excursions booked through the cruise line.
