Cozumel Taco Culture and Beach

My son (17 YO) and I both loved this experience. Our guide was very attentive and wanted to make sure we had a truly enjoyable time which we did. Everything about our experience was really fun and very personalized. The Tequila tasting, hands on chocolate making, a little beach time and quick walk to the top of the light house but especially the lunch with the family who cooked for us (tacos, guacamole, salsa) and shared a meal in their lovely back yard setting. My son got to help which he really enjoyed doing. What a really special and sweet experience.

This was a learning experience about various foods and we were able to make our own food. All the food was very good and enjoyed the tour.

Loved everything about this excursion! The tequila tasing was fun and educational. Sightseeing in El Cedral was short but nice. Our favorite part was the delicious taco lunch in the backyard of a family home. They were so nice and welcoming. My whole family enjoyed it. Our guide Clemente was the best...super nice, informative, and funny. The last stop was the beach. Very beautiful, wish we had more time there, but the water was too rough to get in anyway. Thank you for a great time in Cozumel.

We booked the Taco Culture and Beach excursion in Cozumel, Mexico. We started our tour with a drive around the island accompanied by the island’s history. Next, we had an organic tequila and chocolate tasting. Then, we drove to the historical town El Cedral, known for being the oldest Mayan settlement in Cozumel. After having a quick town tour, we visited a local family and had a wonderful authentic lunch, which included delicious tacos, salsa and guacamole. Next stop was the Beach. It was beautiful and very scenic. The beach wasn’t crowded and included lounge chairs, changing rooms, and showers. Special thank you to our tour guide/driver Isla. She was very accommodating, attentive and personal. She even brought delicious cupcakes for lunch to celebrate my birthday. It was a really nice touch. Isla definitely made our tour brighter and more interesting. Overall, we greatly enjoyed our day in Cozumel. Highly recommended!

Great tour start to finish. It was easy to find the meet up location just outside the port gates. One friend was had a bad ankle so we used a ship wheel chair for the day. Jorge, our driver was knowledge and his personality made the trip relaxing and fun. We started with a stop at an educational chocolate and tequila tasting. The tequila was very good and the gentleman that conducted the tasting was hilarious. Next up was a drive to a small village in the center of the island that is home to a 4th generation Mayan family. The wife made the food and we participated and the husband explained about the culture. You cook in their outdoor kitchen at their home and eat in the back yard amongst fruits trees. The food was amazing, come with an appetite! The town is very charming with a large gathering spot and some ruins next to the church. Last stop was the beach on the other side of the island, rugged with a nice breeze. You can swim but we didn’t. Highly recommend!

This was a wonderful tour. Our guide, Luis, was friendly, courteous and tailored the tour to our needs and wants. The local vendors at the venues were equally friendly and attentive. The taco lunch was a wonderful mix of food and culture. The Cardenas's made us feel like members of the family. Great way to see a lot of the island in one day.

Everything on this excursion was wonderful even the tour guide came back in town to pick me up because I got off the ship late just to ride around the island and our tour guide knowledge of it was amazing Really enjoyed the tequila tasting and authentic homemade tacos yes I would do it again and recommend it to others I think our tour guide name was Louis 💯💯🥰🥰

This was a great experience for my daughter and I we loved the one on one with the tour guide and the drive around Cozumel was fun ! We had lunch in a backyard and helped prepare guacamole and salsa ! Very good food and the people were very nice we felt like family!! Highly recommend this excursion!
