A visit to remember

We brought my 2 year old and 1 year old to the wonderful orphanage and school. It was a great experience from beginning to end. The staff we welcoming and you can tell the place is full of love and care. It’s nice to know we left a small footprint in the community.

Good Experience!

Wilson drove us around the island and he was so fun and friendly. After the tour of the orphanage, he took us around to some other places and waited around at a restaurant while we ate.
We ended up getting our own private tour of the island for the very low price of the excursion. So we were very happy!

Heartwarming Orphanage Tour

Our Taxi driver Guide, Derrick, through Shore Excursions Group, was very nice and informative. He gave us advice on time constraints and got us back to the ship in plenty of time with no stress. The Orphanage itself was extremely heartwarming and after a video our Orphanage guide showed us the living area, kitchen and dining room and past the tilapia farm, basketball court and down to the School. We were able to visit the classrooms and the students . I definitely recommend this tour to give back to the Community. It was very special to my wife and I as we have an adopted child from China.

This was the only shore excursion that connected me to countries that we visited. The orphans themselves took us on a tour of their home, the living room, dining room, kitchen, the library for studying, explaining as they went on how they themselves were adopted into this family of 24 children, with no holds barred. They have a tilapia (fish) farm that feeds them, and they sell some of the fish to local restaurants. It's a heartwarming visit. Make sure you take it.

Sandy Bay School and Orphanage

Had an amazing day visiting with Orsy Cruz and the kids. I was impressed with how well the school and everything is run. Warmed my heart to see the children so happy, well cared for and loved. Would recommend to anyone looking to give back and see God’s work in progress.
